I had the pleasure of being one of the first Student Trustee's on the Board and have continued this service following my M.Ost qualification and throughout the merger with British College of Osteopathic Medicine]

As an Osteopath, regular CPD is a requirement of registration with our regulatory body the General Osteopathic Council

Along with from & Cher from .well.osteopathy I am part of the current cohort embarking on our 2nd year of the Women's Health in Osteopathy Course

The weekends are jam-packed with anatomy, physiology, assessment and treatment of the pelvis, it's contents and the surrounding structures (i.e. the rest of the body!)

The incredibly talented Anja Engel-Schulmeyer, head of the postgraduate department at The Vienna School of Osteopathy was our guest lecturer for this weekend. Anja and Renzo took us on a 'deep-dive' into the pelvis for a weekend of internal assessment, diagnosis and treatment.

So why is any of this important and worth sharing with you all?

I want you to know that I am continually developing my skills and knowledge so as to best serve you as my patient. I want to reassure you that (should you consent to an internal examination) you will be treated gently, with dignity & respect.
I want you to know that I know how it feels to be examined internally - vaginally and rectally. And I want you to know that I was nervous to be examined too 🙏🏼

Another 'frighteningly' good BNI meeting this morning, with a few fellow members getting into the Halloween 'spirit'

During the month of October I've had the kudos of being recognised as September's Notible Network Leader

I also joined the Green Club for the first time this month and completed my Passport to Success Program! Huge thanks to MG Warren Solutions Ltd for all of her support as Mentor Coordinator!

BNI has changed the way I look at and do business

As a group, in September we passed £43k worth of business between each other... & in the 6 months prior we passed £219k worth of business!

I love meeting new people and growing my network, especially when it means that I can collaborate and support my patients better.

Hannah was highly recommended to me and I couldn't wait to meet her! She was instantly warm, open and curious - which led to a great conversation, my personal take away is to hunt out more white veggies in these coming weeks!
