Hello!!

Welcome to my Instagram page, I have been a little quite the last few months on here as I have had lots going on behind the scenes. But I'm back and looking forward to sharing lots of useful information and top tips to help you.

Thank you so much to everyone who has got in contact with me over the last couple of months to chekc in on me as you noticed I hadn't been on here much, I really did feel the instagram love. 💜

I have been busy busy training as an Infant Feeding Coach - I will be sharing more on this with you all soon.

So, for those who don't know me, who am I? I'm Victoria, the face behind Chambers Hypnobirthing.

Here is a little bit about me 💜

💖 I'm a wife and mummy to 3 beautiful children (10, 7 and 3).

📰 I worked in Media for 15 years before deciding to become a hypnobirthing teacher, a job I completely love.

🤰 I absolutely love talking all things pregnancy and birth.

🦒 My happy place with my children is being at the Zoo, we all completely love it. The giraffes are definitely my firm favorite. What is yours?

🏖 Another happy place for our family is Ibiza. We have just come back from a family holiday there and wow, it was so lovely to be back on holiday. It was our first holiday since pre Covid.

💜 I've experienced 3 completely different births, hypnobirthing is something that I didn't discover until my 3rd baby. As it was such a game changer for me, I decided to train as a hypnobirthing teacher and launch Chambers Hypnobirthing.

👶I am also a babywearing peer support (about to qualify as a babywearing consultant) - so any babywearing, slings or carrier questions, feel free to send them my way. I run the local sling library - North West Kent Slings.

🤱I am always investing in my business and in myself so that I can offer you even more, there is exciting times ahead, details which I will be sharing with you all soon.

I'd love to hear more about you and your pregnancy journey. How many weeksare you? How are you feeling?

If you would like to discover more about how hypnobirthing can help transform the way you think about birth, please get in touch. I have just opened my diary for my July, August & September courses.

INDUCTION OF LABOUR

Induction of labour is becoming increasing more common, and more and more women are finding themselves in a situation of needing to decide whether or not to agree to an induction of labour.

It is so important to research, ask as many questions as you need to so that you are in a position to make an informed decision. Always remember is YOUR decision to make.

What is it?

An induction of labour is when a medical care team will artificially try to start the labour process to encourage your labour to start rather than waiting for your labour to start spontaneously.

Why is inductions of labour offered?

There is a number of reason to why induction of labour is OFFERED which can include but are not limited to;
Length of pregnancy
Waters breaking but labour not starting
Birthing persons age
Baby's wellbeing
Medical conditions such as gestational diabetes plus more.

What can I do to become more informed on the induction process?

As so many parents to be find themselves thinking about the process of induction of labour, I think it is really important to include this on my hypnobirthing course. I cover all this and more..

💜What does the induction process entail?

💜How is it different to a spontaneous labour?

💜What are your options?

💜Framework for making an INFORMED decision

If you decide that an induction of labour is the right decision for you and your baby, how can you use your hypnobirthing tools to support you through the process? How can your birth partner support you? All of this is covered on a hypnobirthing course with me.

Other ways you can help yourself to become more informed of the process is by looking at the evidence & researching your options by reading books such as The Aims Guide to Induction of Labour, or Inducing Labour: Making Informed Decisions, or In Your Own Time - both books by Dr Sara Wickham and available on Amazon.

If you would like to chat to me further about this, my DM's are always open

Sometimes birth may take a different path to what we hope for. Sometimes we may have to make difficult decisions during our pregnancy or birth.

Maybe your discussing interventions such as induction or C sections or potentially changing your planned birth place of choice?

My top tips for helping you to deal with changes in birth plans.

💜 Ask lots of questions, know your options, be informed. All decisions are yours to make.

💜 Focus on what you can control. I love the affirmation, 'I focus on what I can control and I let go of what I can't'

💜 Have trust that your hypnobirthing skills, tools, and relaxation techniques will help you. Whichever path your path takes.

The birth of your baby will be beautiful.

We can't predict exactly what type of birth you will have, but we can stack all the odds in your favour of having the birth you hope for, whilst also knowing that whichever path your birth takes, your prepared, your relaxed and your informed.

⭐ Hypnobirthing really is for all births.⭐

If you would like to discover more about how you can feel this way, send me a DM and we can chat.

How incredible is this picture showing a beautiful newborn next to their placenta?

I never really even looked at my placenta with my first born, however I became fascinated with them after the birth of my second baby. I had a wonderful midwife who showed me the placenta and spent time explaining how it worked and how it had grown my beautiful baby. My love for birth was just beginning.

Isn't it amazing, that your body is capable of not only growing a whole human being, but of creating its lifeline too. Pregnancy can of course be tough at times, but take a moment to just think about how amazing you are, and how amazing your body is.

💦 Water Births💦

Have you thought about or considered a water birth? Would you like to know more?

Using a birth pool or water in labour is a popular choice for lots of women.

Here are a few benefits of a water birth

⭐The water can aid your relaxation, helping you to feel more relaxed, calm and in control

⭐The warm water offers comfort during your surges for lots of birthing women

⭐Your position whilst in the pool will automatically be a more upright position which can help you, gravity will be on your side

⭐The water can reduce your chance of experiencing a tear

⭐It can be a smooth transition as your baby enters the world

Here are things you should consider if planning a water birth…

If planning a hospital birth or birth center birth – it can be useful to check your place of birth for how many pools they have so you understand their potential availability.

If planning a home birth – there are lots of places you can hire or purchase pools from, its worth looking at this in advance and ensure you know how to set it up / fill it up ahead of your birthing day.

Be mindful that (unless your planning a home birth) access to a birth pool may not be possible, so its always worth thinking about / visualising both a water birth and being open minded to a birth outside of the pool. This can really help if plans change and can avoid any feelings of things not being in your control.

There are lots of other ways you can use water in labour if a birth pool is not available – for example a bath or shower, or even a warm water soaked towel or flannel.

We discuss all this and so much more during my hypnobirthing courses, so if you haven’t yet booked onto one of my upcoming courses now is the perfect time to do so 🥰
