“Lets get Control and Change.”

About Me:
After many years of struggling with my own weight, nutrition and related symptoms, I began a journey that led me to lose three stone as well as the related health issues. I had so much more energy and had discovered a lot about nutrition. Friends and family started to ask how I had done it and could I help them? I then decided to train and qualify as a Nutritional Therapist. A few months after this, I was faced with a particularly stressful period at work and home. I was introduced to the Control System and attended a Control workshop. Coming away after one day, totally relaxed and in control, I made a decision. I went on to study and qualify as a Control Practitioner and Remedial Hypnotist! During and shortly after this time, I had began to change peoples lives and help them feel in control, balanced and happy again. Taking away stress, fear of heights, anxiety, stopping people from smoking, losing weight and many more. Finally a great opportunity arose. My holistic approach to client care and local knowledge was partnered with an offer to work with, and at, the Lordswood Osteopathic Clinic. Control and Change was born. The clinic is conveniently located at the Lordswood Leisure Centre in Chatham, in the heart of the medway towns and close to the M2 junction 3. Easy links from Gillingham, Sittingbourne, Gravesend and Canterbury and a short hop from Junction 6 of the M20 and Blue Bell Hill from Maidstone, Ashford and surrounding areas. The centre is situated in a quiet country setting overlooking 20 acres of playing fields, with free parking for over 100 cars and disabled access. Regular local buses (166, 167 & 701) stop around half a mile from the Centre.

Anxiety. Fear. Depression.

These struggles are real, and they can feel overwhelming, isolating, and never-ending.

You are not alone. There is always hope, and there is always help.

World Su***de Prevention Day, 10 Sept. Changing the Narrative.

With hypnotherapy and coaching, I’ve seen how people can quiet the noise of anxiety, ease the weight of depression, and rebuild confidence step by step.

Sometimes all it takes is a safe space, the right tools, and knowing someone is truly listening.

Today is a reminder to check in on those around us. Ask the question. Listen without judgment. Remind them they’re not alone.

You’re not alone in struggling.
You’re not broken for feeling lost.
You don’t have to stay stuck.

Please share this post, because even the smallest message can remind someone they are not alone, and if you need quiet support now, message me.

You matter, and you’re seen.

Ever felt anxious… about being anxious?

It’s one of the most common things I hear.

Many of my clients don’t even remember when their anxiety began.
It’s just been there… hanging around like a background noise.

And over time, it becomes something more than just anxiety.
It becomes a fear *of the next wave*... a worry about the worry itself.
That creeping “What if I feel it again?”

That’s the loop.
You feel anxious.
So you worry about feeling anxious again.
Which… surprise… makes you anxious.

Round it goes.

The good news?
This cycle can be interrupted.
And it doesn’t take forever.

I’ve seen people who’ve lived with anxiety for years start to feel relief in just a few sessions.
Not because they fought it harder,
but because they finally understood what was happening, and learned how to quiet it, naturally.

Anxiety might feel like a life sentence….
and yet… it's often just a loop your mind forgot how to stop.

Want to know how we interrupt it?
👇 Drop me a message or a comment. I’ll reply personally.

What comes first… fear or anxiety?
It’s a bit of a chicken and egg moment, isn’t it?

You feel something rise in your chest, or twist in your gut… and suddenly your mind starts racing.

But was it the fear that triggered the thoughts?
Or the thoughts that stirred the fear?

It’s easy to think anxiety just ‘arrives’ out of nowhere, but it doesn’t.
There’s always a ‘pattern’, a ‘spark’, a moment where the subconscious decides, “This isn’t safe.”
Even if logically, you know it is.

…and that’s the thing. Fear is your body’s alarm system.
Anxiety? It’s the overthinking fire drill that never ends.

One is fast, protective, even helpful.
The other… shrinks your world and wears you down.

So what if the real question isn’t “What came first?”
But rather… “When did your mind stop trusting that you’re safe?”

That’s the part I help people find.
…and when they do, the change is quick. Often surprisingly quick.

So now I’m curious… what do you think comes first?
Fear? Anxiety? Or… something else entirely?

👇 Let me know in the comments or message. I read every one.

“I just want to be the old me before the anxiety….”

I hear this all the time….
You can’t go back in time to your past, but it doesn’t have to control your present or define your future.

“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending” - quote unknown

You can’t move forwards constantly looking back…and you can’t climb a mountain using a map for the other side.….
The past has gone, the futures not here yet…. But you are here and now….make it count.

If you live with anxiety, you’ll know it’s not “just in your head”, it’s in your body, your thoughts, your sleep, your confidence, your energy.

The worst part? It can make life feel small.
You start saying ‘no’ to things you’d love to do. You plan your days around avoiding triggers. You overthink every conversation.

Here’s the thing: anxiety is not who you are.
It’s a response your mind and body have learned, and like any learned pattern, it can be unlearned.

Using a powerful combination of hypnotherapy (to work with your subconscious and calm those automatic responses) and coaching (to give you practical tools, strategies, and confidence), I help clients:
💙 Switch off the cycle of overthinking.
🧡 Reduce panic before it even starts.
💛 Build a calmer, steadier mindset.
💜 Step back into life feeling capable and in control.

August can be a tricky month, school holidays, disrupted routines, family pressures, and more time in our own heads. But it can also be the perfect time to prepare for a calmer autumn.

Step into autumn feeling lighter, calmer, and ready to enjoy life without anxiety calling the shots…. send me a message today.

You deserve a life where peace is your default.

August, Anxiety & Space to Breathe…..

For many, August brings sunshine, slower days... & rising anxiety.

The kids are off school, routines shift, and social media is full of “perfect” summer moments that can leave us feeling a little off-balance.

Here’s the truth: you don’t need to have it all figured out.
It’s okay if August feels messy, if the quiet is loud, or if you’re juggling rest with rising overwhelm.

🌞 This month, try gentleness over perfection.
🌞 Pause when you need to, laugh when you can, and give yourself permission to just be.

If you’re already thinking ahead, I’m now booking appointments for mid-September.
Let’s gently put some plans in place for a grounded, intentional autumn.

💬 Drop me a message if you’d like to chat, no pressure, just possibilities.

“What if I’m too anxious…to do self-care…for my anxiety?”

I hear this more than you might think, and if that’s where you are right now, you’re not broken. You’re overwhelmed. That’s exactly why gentle, structured support matters.

International Self‑Care Day (July 24) reminds us that looking after ourselves shouldn’t be a once-in-a-while thing. But when you’re anxious, especially about health or how you’re feeling physically, self-care can feel like a task you’re failing at.

✅ You know you should breathe deeply, but feel like you can’t.
✅ You know a walk can help, but your mind won’t stop racing.
✅ You know you need support, but reaching out feels scary.

If you relate, here’s something to remember:
Self-care doesn’t have to start big. It can be tiny. Gentle. Grounded in support that doesn’t expect you to “just calm down.”

Pick one micro‑exercise from the image checklist today.

Comment below with what you chose, or DM if you'd like ideas tailored to what's draining you most right now.

If even this feels too much to do alone, that’s okay. I’ve helped many people who couldn’t even imagine making a call, let alone changing anything. There’s a way through it …. together.

“Hospital anxiety is real. I didn’t even know it had a name — I just knew I couldn’t face going in.”
That’s what one of my clients told me after finally getting through two surgeries — something they didn’t think was even possible before we started working together.

👉 If your body needs medical care but your mind keeps shutting down
👉 If anxiety around hospitals, appointments, or recovery is taking over
👉 If you’re stuck between fear, avoidance, and guilt...

You’re not the only one. And you don’t have to keep managing this alone.

This client called my support a lifeline — not because I gave them a magic fix, but because we worked together on real strategies that helped them face what felt impossible.

If that’s the kind of change you’re ready for, I’m here.
Drop me a message and let’s talk about what you’re facing — and how we can move through it.

Feeling anxious doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re human.

You might be carrying anxiety quietly — maybe no one knows.
You might have moments where panic shows up out of nowhere.
You might be trying to hold it all together while feeling like you’re unravelling underneath.

I see this in clients all the time. And what I often say is this:
You don’t have to stay stuck with those feelings.
You don’t need a label or a diagnosis to know something feels off.
You don’t need to “hit rock bottom” to deserve help.

Sometimes it's a private moment, a lesson, or something you’ve carried for years.
Sometimes it’s just wanting to breathe properly again, sleep more peacefully, or stop feeling like everything is about to tip over.

You don’t have to do this alone.
Support doesn’t have to be loud — just real. Just yours.

📩 If anxiety or panic has been taking up too much space lately, send me a message. We’ll talk. No pressure, no judgement — just support that fits you.

Anxiety. Fears. Addictions. Pause. Reflect. Refocus.

The last 6 months have been full-on — more intense than the whole of last year, stress builds and it shows up in quiet ways:

😰 That growing anxiety you try to hide.
✈️ The fear of flying that suddenly feels unmanageable.
🍷 A creeping reliance on drink, a smoke, or a scroll to switch off

You’re not alone.
🔹 85% of workers say they’ve felt burned out.
🔹 Nearly half have taken time off for mental health.
🔹 Those who get support? They recover faster & stay well longer

This week isn’t just about workplace perks — it’s about protecting your peace.

✅ Declutter your calendar.
✅ Talk about the real stuff (yes, even the messy parts).
✅ Choose connection over coping.

Let’s make this week count — and turn awareness into action.

You don’t have to feel confident to move forward, you just have to start.

Anxiety, fear, panic….they can make you feel stuck, like you’re frozen on the spot while everyone else seems to be sprinting ahead. But you’re not stuck with those feelings. You’re just standing with them.

And here’s the truth: every single time you take even one step forward, even with shaking hands or a racing heart, you’re creating momentum. And momentum changes everything.

Start small. You don’t need to feel brave to be brave. You don’t need to be perfect to make progress. You don’t need to match anyone else’s version of success to be successful.

You just need one moment of belief.
One minute to ground yourself.
One decision to choose movement over fear.

Success might be standing your ground in a hard conversation. It might be choosing rest instead of overthinking. It might be getting out of bed and trying again today. That counts. That’s yours.

You're not failing. You're not broken. You're growing, in your own time, in your own way.

And trust me… that’s powerful stuff.

“I never thought it would work… now I am positive about heights and flying.”

This amazing client once dreaded flying, feared heights, and couldn’t even face driving over the Dartford Bridge without feeling anxious & hiding under a blanket in the passenger seat.
But through our sessions together, he took back control.
✅ Overcame the anxiety & panic.
✅ Faced the bridge.
✅ Boarded the plane with confidence.

The fear that once controlled him no longer does — and that’s exactly what this work is about: regaining control of your mind, your reactions, and your freedom.

You don’t have to live your life avoiding life.
You don’t have to manage everything by covering your eyes and hoping for the best.

There is a way forward — and I’d love to help you find it.
