The countdown is officially on. In just under 7 weeks, 10 of us are taking a 15,000ft leap to ensure that when the treatment bell rings, the support doesn't stop.

​What is the "After the Bell" project?

We are currently transforming 25 Military Road, Chatham into a first-of-its-kind Community Restoration Hub.

​In hospitals, ringing the bell marks the end of treatment. But for many, the car ride home is the start of a quiet, heavy loneliness. Our project bridges that gap by providing:

• The"After the Bell" Confidence Kits - a physical "welcome home" containing a "Next Chapter" journal, Tea & Talk vouchers, and symbols of regrowth.
•The sanctuary - a human-centered community café and safe space where you can access peer support, a physical hug, and health advocacy.
• ​Awareness & education: Hosting events focused on early detection and wellbeing for those on complex health journeys.

We woke up to an incredible £5,770 raised so far! This means 77 women in our community are already "accounted for." We are now chasing down the £6,000 milestone—we only need £230 to get there today.

Whether you donate £75 to fund a full kit or £5 to keep the Hub's kettle boiling, you are building the foundation of this sanctuary.

After the bell - the journey we don’t talk about.

We’ve been working on something extra special at Cleopatra’s for over a year. It’s a project we’ve held close to our hearts, but we are reminded daily why we can’t wait any longer to bring it to life.

It’s about the "after-after" care. The belonging. The knowing that you aren't alone once the hospital doors close.

We recently sat with an 82-year-old woman for 45 minutes after her wig fitting. Her treatment had ended. Her appointments had stopped. Her diary was empty.
And what remained was loneliness.

Our doors at 25 Military Road are always open, but we want to offer more than just a space. We want to offer a bridge.

Introducing: The “After the Bell” Confidence Kit
“You are not discharged from care. You are transitioning into community.”

To fund the first wave of these kits and our Community Safe Space, 10 of us are jumping 15,000ft in just 51 days.

We aren't jumping for the adrenaline - we are jumping so that no one in our community has to face the "after" in silence.

We have raised £4,972 so far. We are just £28 away from our £5,000 milestone!
