🎶 A Musical Treat at Our Home! 🎶

Today we were delighted to welcome some very special visitors — friends of our lovely resident Chris.
They generously offered to come in and perform for Chris and all of our residents, and what a wonderful afternoon it turned out to be!

The room was filled with music, laughter, and lots of toe-tapping. Chris enjoyed every single minute, especially joining in for a big sing-along at the end. Moments like these truly brighten our days. ❤️

A huge thank-you to Chris’s talented friends for sharing their time and voices with us — you made everyone’s day!

🎄Festive Fun at Abney! 🎄

What an afternoon!
Our Christmas Afternoon Tea was filled with tasty treats, lots of laughs and fizz !!

A massive shout-out to the fabulous Natalie Ciufo who had our residents singing, clapping, and feeling all the Christmas vibes!
She truly brought the party!

Thank you to our amazing team for spreading the cheer and making today unforgettable. Roll on more Christmas fun! 🎅

A Heart-warming Intergenerational Visit!

Today we were delighted to welcome the wonderful pupils from Lady Barn House School for a festive, intergenerational Christmas crafting session!

Our residents had the most amazing time creating beautiful Christmas decorations together — sharing stories, laughter, and lots of glitter! ✂️🎁

It was truly special to see the joy and connection between generations. Moments like these remind us how powerful community can be, especially during the festive season.

A huge thank you to the children and staff of Ladybarn House School for bringing so much warmth and cheer to our home. We always look forward to your visits .

Today, the children from Kids Planet Nursery brought smiles, laughter, and lots of energy to the residents of Abney.

From sharing stories and songs to creating crafts together, the room was filled with joy and connection. Moments like these remind us how special it is when different generations come together.

A huge thank you to the wonderful children and staff at Kids Planet Day Nursery for brightening everyone’s day — and to our residents, who loved every minute of it! ✨

Today we had a Visit to Bents Garden & Home Centre! 🎄
Loved wandering around all the gorgeous Christmas stalls and sparkling decorations – definitely getting into the holiday spirit now. 🎅

And of course… finished the retail therapy with a well-earned cup of tea. ☕🛍️

Pamper Time at Abney Court!
Our lovely ladies enjoyed a relaxing afternoon in the salon today, getting their nails done and indulging in a bit of well-deserved pampering.
There were lots of smiles, colour choices, and chatter — nothing beats a little self-care and good company!

It’s always a joy to see our residents feeling special and enjoying moments like these. 💅

🍁 Learning French with Languagility! 🇫🇷

Our wonderful residents had a magnifique time learning about automne (autumn) with Liz this week!
They enjoyed discovering new French words, sharing autumn memories, and even practising a few seasonal phrases — all while having lots of laughs together.

C’est fantastique to see everyone embracing new languages and cultures! 🍂
