My first attempt at Banana, Oat & Chia Breakfast Bars and I have to say, they taste so much better than they look 😋

They’re simple to make, use just a few ingredients, and are perfect for a healthy grab and go option.

Here’s the recipe if you’d like to try them yourself:

🍌 Banana, Oat & Chia Breakfast Bars (7x7 tin)

Ingredients (makes 12 bars)
• 2 large ripe bananas (about 200g peeled weight)
• 200g rolled oats
• 2 tbsp chia seeds (about 24g)
• 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
• 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
• 1 tsp baking powder (optional, for a softer texture)
• 40g dark chocolate chips or raisins (optional add in)

Method
1. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F / Gas 4
2. Line a 7 x 7 inch (18cm) square tin with baking paper
3. Mash the bananas in a bowl until smooth
4. Stir in oats, chia seeds, honey, and vanilla. Add baking powder if using
5. Mix in extras like chocolate chips or raisins
6. Spread evenly into the tin and press down firmly
7. Bake for 25–28 minutes until golden and set
8. Leave to cool completely before cutting

Calories
• Whole batch is about 1,200 calories without chocolate chips
• Cut into 12 bars = around 100 to 105 calories each
• With 40g chocolate chips = about 115 calories each

If you are finding it hard to sleep at night (like me😫) not being as active because it's too hot or not drinking enough water then this can make you feel less productive.
Aim to drink more than usual, your body needs it, if that's the only goal you hit then it's a good one🙌

Hi, my name is Karen, after having my children I found it very difficult to lose weight. I have tried many diets and none of them seemed to work for me. I felt fat, frumpy, lacking in energy and had low self esteem. Then I discovered Cambridge Weight Plan! It was easy to follow, I lost the weight and managed to keep it off for the first time ever. I loved it so much I became a Consultant.

It doesn’t matter if you have a little or a lot to lose, male or female, I will be there for you every step of the way with a kind and empathetic approach.
