🌈 🕊️ Now this one really got me crying 😢, lovely Sid passed over rainbow bridge yesterday, he was another one of my originals from the start and I had a huge soft spot for him, he was such a character and loved coming in and being pampered.
He was so well known around Woodcote and will be missed by so many people, especially his owner Sue who will be devastated.
Run free dear Sid, I will miss you 💙 🌈

Lovely boy Sullivan the Bulldog came in for a groom at the weekend, he is very nervous of the dryer so I am working on getting him used to it in a nice, positive way without frightening him.

Good morning ☺️

I am in the process of typing up new terms & conditions, I will print them out and hand each and every customer a copy to take home and read through.

I have so many fabulous customers but as always there are a minority that mess me around with payments, last minute cancellations and constantly being late.

Running a small business isn’t easy but it is extremely rewarding when things are going well and I LOVE being my own boss.

So I would like thank those of you that do arrive on time, collect on time and pay on time, you make my day 😃😃

🌈 🕊️ Bless lovely Cliff, he had been fighting cancer but lost his battle very sadly last week. He was a Miniature Schnauzer and one of my original clients from the start so I’m very sad to hear of his passing 😔

🍂 WINTER HAIRCUTS 🍂
As we approach winter most customers ask for me to leave their dogs hair longer to keep them warmer.
This can actually be counterproductive, dogs tend to get wetter and muddier in the winter and the longer the hair means the longer your dog will stay wet and the skin underneath will stay damp. Damp skin can harbour bacteria causing itching and sore skin.
Also longer hair attracts more seeds, burrs and debris from bushes and hedges, the hair then wraps around these and causes matting, again this can be painful for your dog.
Most of the time dogs on walks are running about keeping themselves warm or are snuggled up indoors with the heating on so keeping them in a shorter trim won’t affect them, and you can always put a coat on them in the really cold weather.
In a nutshell it isn’t always better to keep the hair longer in winter, especially around the legs, chest and belly area.
