Lucky us… what a lovely day we had celebrating St Patrick’s Day together! ☘️💚

From beautifully decorated tables (and lots of shamrocks 👀), to smiles, laughter, and a little tipple or two 🍷 - it was such a fab evening. 🥰

We even had some fabulous outfits and accessories making an appearance… I even got to paint a few faces with shamrocks. 😌 I mean, how could you not get involved?! 💚✨

Getting into the St Patrick’s Day spirit yesterday with a lovely arts & crafts session ☘️💚 We’ll use the bunting to decorate for our themed supper later. 🥰

Residents enjoyed creating their own shamrock bunting using soft pastels and plenty of creativity - each one completely unique ✨

A relaxing afternoon, lots of smiles, and some beautiful decorations ready to brighten up the home ☘️

LOCAL HELP NEED - Accommodation in the Cheddar Area
Does anyone know of any reasonably priced rooms or accommodation locally in Cheddar or nearby villages?

A gentleman who visits his partner at Courthouse twice a month is looking for somewhere affordable to stay on a regular basis (around 5 days one visit and 3 days another each month).

Hotels and B&Bs locally can vary quite a lot in price, and while there are many options in the area, some can be quite expensive for regular stays. If anyone knows of a spare room, guest room, small B&B, or somewhere that might offer a regular rate, please comment below or send me a message.

I’ve been a little bit quiet on here recently… but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been busy! 🎨✨

This week at Arts & Crafts we made colourful bookmarks ready for our book club. 📚

Residents had great fun choosing colours and painting their designs - and we think the finished bookmarks look fab!

Rain didn’t dampen the spirits at our Court House Wassail! 🌧️🍎
We moved indoors, celebrated around our imaginative Wassail Apple Tree, crowned a Wassail King & Queen, poured cider on the roots, hung toast in the branches and sang our wassail songs. 🎶👑

A huge thank you to our fantastic team for their enthusiasm — and for performing a brilliant Mummers Play for the residents! 👏
Finished off perfectly with Angie’s delicious Wassail Supper. 🍽️❤️

We all LOVED having the Axbridge Handbell Ringers coming to perform for us on Monday. ❤️ 🔔

There wasn’t even room to get into the lounge as it was so packed with people wanting to be part of the experience. 🥰

We had a very enjoyable “Truth or Turkey” Christmas quiz 🎄🦃, packed with fun questions and lots of laughter. Residents also enjoyed guessing what was inside some Christmas-themed wrapped presents – a lovely extra bit of festive fun!

We were joined by a really lovely group of Sales Managers from Polyvine Ltd , who got in touch to ask if they could visit, bring cakes and other treats, and spend the afternoon spreading Christmas cheer with our residents – which they did in bucketloads ✨🍰

It was an afternoon full of fun, laughter, and festive spirit, and we would absolutely love to welcome the Polyvine team back again sometime.

Thank you so much for your kindness, thoughtfulness, and for bringing us so much Christmas cheer. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas 🎅🎄
