We have been getting creative again, this time making beautiful jellyfish decorations to hang around the home! 💙

Everyone was hard at work, fully focused, and having a wonderful time bringing these colourful sea creatures to life. The results are absolutely stunning. We love seeing our home filled with our residents creativity. 🌊🎨

🍫 World Chocolate Day Treats! 🍫

Last week, we celebrated World Chocolate Day in the most delicious way! In the afternoon, our lovely residents enjoyed a delightful spread of fruit and biscuits, all dipped in warm, melted chocolate. 😋🍓🍪

Safe to say, it was a big hit! There were smiles all around and not a crumb left behind. 💛

🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ One Million Step Challenge update! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️

We’ve been busy walking, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve already clocked up an amazing **152,750 steps** toward our One Million Step Challenge! 🙌👏

Our incredible Manager, Jenny, and Deputy Manager, Fay, have been out and about, getting those steps in, with family, friends, and even some four-legged companions joining in the fun! 🐾💪

👟🌞 An adventurous visit to Cheddar Gorge! 🌞👟

Some of our residents took a lovely walk to the Cheddar Gorge & Caves to visit Wallace 🧀 - he’s there as part of the Grand Appeal’s Wallace and Gromit Trail, and we couldn’t miss the chance to say hello!

We also made progress on our RSPCA (England & Wales) Scavenger Hunt challenge 🕵️‍♀️- we’ve signed up to find 30 items in support of a great cause, and we ticked off a few today! ✅

And of course, every step counted toward our One Million Step Challenge goal! 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♀️ We’re well on our way, and we’re having a fantastic time along the journey.

We're so proud to share that our Manager, Jenny, and Deputy Manager, Fay have taken on the incredible challenge of walking ONE MILLION steps throughout July, August, and September, all in support of Diabetes UK 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️💙

Diabetes is something they both face in their personal and professional lives, and they’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges it brings. Their goal? To raise awareness, fund life-changing research, and help move us closer to a cure. 👏

We recently celebrated Take Your Dog to Work Day! 🐾

Emma, our amazing Activities Lead, brought along Pippa, her 8-year-old rescue Staffy who’s truly blossomed into a confident and charming companion. Pippa absolutely loved meeting everyone, and the residents were just as delighted to spend time with her. There were plenty of cuddles, happy tails, and even a few cheeky licks! 🐶💕

She was thoroughly spoiled with treats and attention all day long. Safe to say, Pippa had the best day ever and so did we! 🥰

Last week, our creative residents and colleagues teamed up to begin giving a beautiful old wooden windmill a much needed makeover, adding a fresh burst of colour. End result pending... 🎨🌻

In the meantime, we've also been getting arty indoors, creating sparkling glitter rainbows and cheerful decorations to brighten up our space. ✨🌈

We were delighted to welcome the U3A choir, Singing for Pleasure, for a wonderful performance today! These lovely ladies serenaded us with a beautiful mix of familiar favourites and new tunes. 🎶 🤩

We were also treated to another wonderful performance from the adored Maria Florey, who never fails to bring joy and warmth to the room. It was heart warming to see so many residents singing along and enjoying every moment. 🎶 🥰

The sunshine has truly brought everyone together! With the lovely weather, we've been spending more time in the garden, singing our favourite songs, sharing laughs, and indulging in plenty of ice-cream. 🎶☀️

Simple pleasures, sweet moments, and good company… what more could we ask for? 🍦

Celebrating the King’s Birthday in style! 👑

We had a wonderful day marking the occasion, thoroughly enjoyed watching Trooping the Colour in the morning, followed by a delightful royal-themed tea party in the afternoon. A truly regal day filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit! 🥂 🍰

We had a truly cuddly treat yesterday as our lovely care assistant, Sarah, brought in her adorable guinea pigs, Toffee and Spot for a visit! 💕🐹

The residents were all smiles as they enjoyed seeing and snuggling our furry guests, who were on their very best behaviour. 😍

Deputy Manager Fay's, daughter, Macey, made a special after-school trip just to give them a little extra “fluff! 🥰🐾

Moments like these fill our home with joy, laughter, and just the right amount of squeaks. 🐹
