A huge thank you to Axbridge Hunky Punks for brightening up our Saturday morning with their fantastic performance! This talented street band, a lively mix of brass and wind, filled the air with music and smiles. 🎶 🤩

We were lucky the rain held off, and even luckier to enjoy such a joyful show right in our community. 🌦️🥁🎺

Thanks again to the band for bringing the energy and making our weekend that much brighter! 💛

to marking World Dog Day! 🐶🐾

We had such a lovely time celebrating, starting with a fun quiz to test our doggy knowledge, and then taking a trip down memory lane as we shared stories about the wonderful dogs we’ve loved over the years. 💙

To top it off, we got creative and made our very own little pups out of toilet rolls, they turned out paw-some! 🐕

We often have furry friends pop in to visit us, and we’re already looking forward to our next waggy-tailed guest! 🦴🐾

We’re delighted to share that our residents have recently started creating cards for the wonderful charity Cards for Bravery 💌

Cards for Bravery is a charity dedicated to brightening the days and supporting the emotional wellbeing of hospitalised and seriously ill children, young people, and their families across the UK. ✨

Our residents really enjoyed getting creative with lots of happy and positive messages.
So far, we’ve proudly made 18 cards and will continue to create more, all with the aim of bringing a little joy and comfort to those who need it most. 🌈😊🎨💖

Jenny, Fay and their tribe have been out in all weathers, clocking up the miles and we’ve now reached an amazing 1,948,689 steps! 👏

We’re so close to smashing through the TWO MILLION step mark, which means nearly doubling our original challenge, all while raising awareness and funds for Diabetes UK 💙

✨ A Magical Afternoon! ✨

We had the pleasure of welcoming lovely magician, James to perform some incredible tricks for us! 🎩✨

He wowed everyone with a fantastic group show before giving our residents the chance to experience close-up magic with individual card tricks.

The magic didn’t stop there – one of our residents’ great-grandsons joined in and proved he’s got some tricks up his sleeve too! 🪄

A truly wonderful time was had by all! 💛

Over the past two weeks, our amazing Manager and Deputy Manager have been on the move, completing 363,887 steps as they explored Weymouth and Downhead!

That brings our grand total to 1,545,536 steps so far – and the best part? We still have the whole of September to go! 🎉

Thank you to everyone cheering us on. Every step counts towards a healthier lifestyle and a great cause! 💪👣

🐾 Team Greenhill on the Hunt!

We’ve been busy continuing the RSPCA West Hatch Animal Centre Summer Photo Scavenger Hunt and ticking off some fun challenges! ✅

Here’s what we’ve found so far:
🧸 Something tiny – a miniature teddy
🇬🇧 A flag
👋 A wave
🐛 And a teeny caterpillar enjoying our cabbages (don’t worry, we popped him back after his photo shoot!)

Now… off to find even more! Stay tuned for the next discoveries!

Last week we welcomed back the wonderful Calamity Janes, who treated us to a fantastic mix of country classics from Calamity Jane, Elvis, and Dolly Parton. 🎵💛

We had a brilliant singalong, a dance or two, and some of us even got into the spirit with our own cowboy hats! 🤠

🐘 Celebrating World Elephant Day! 🎨💛

Our residents joined in the fun for World Elephant Day last week, by decorating colourful elephant masks and creating beautiful elephant-themed paintings. 🖌️✨

It was a creative, laughter-filled afternoon – and our herd of happy elephants looked amazing! 🐘🎭

👣 ONE MILLION STEPS COMPLETED! 🎉

We’ve officially reached one million steps in our walking challenge – but we’re not stopping yet! We’ll keep walking right through to the end of September to see just how far we can go. 💪

This week, Fay and her daughter, Macey, enjoyed a beautiful day at Weymouth Beach and visited Fancy’s Farm in Portland with friends. Meanwhile, Jenny and her dogs Bertie and Ernie made the most of the sunshine at Castle Hill, Mere. 🐾☀️

Congratulations to our intrepid duo, Jenny and Fay, who are clocking up the miles (and steps!) in their charity challenge for Diabetes UK 👟

Last week's walks took the pair to Cheddar Reservoir and Ninesprings Country Park in Yeovil 👣

5 weeks in, and with 7 weeks to go, they have clocked up 862,511 steps towards their Million Step Challenge, and are almost half way to their fundraising target 👏
