Today’s aromatherapy session was a wonderful treat 💜

Annette kindly brought in her beautiful lavender oils, soothing scents, soft towels, and all things lavender, creating a truly calming experience. She treated residents to relaxing hand massages, and it’s safe to say they were thoroughly enjoyed by all.

A big thank you to Annette for her kindness and care—it made such a difference to everyone’s day 🌿

We’re egg-stra proud to show off this cracking creation 🐣🎩✨

Our wonderful staff and residents had great fun modelling this amazing Easter bonnet, lovingly made by our talented laundry assistant, Theresa. She created it last year, but it was simply too fabulous not to make a return appearance this Easter! 👏 🤩

And that’s not all—Theresa has also beautifully dressed ‘The Lady’ in her Easter attire, adding even more seasonal sparkle around the home 🌸🐰

A huge thank you to Theresa for bringing such creativity and joy to everyone!

🐾 BIG Dog Walk Fundraiser! 🌊

We’re planning a BIG dog walk to help raise money for a minibus so we can enjoy a trip to the seaside!

Join us on 10th May as we complete 2 laps around Cheddar Reservoir. We’re asking for a suggested donation of £2 per person for anyone who would like to take part.

You don’t need a dog to join in – everyone is welcome to come along for the walk. The more the merrier!

We’re so proud to share our “Residents’ Rockery” so far, it’s already bringing so much joy! 🌼 We’re excited to keep growing it throughout the year, adding more colour to our garden and continuing to celebrate creativity together. 😍

Over the past year, we’ve been busy decorating and painting rocks as part of a truly special group project! 🎨 This has been a wonderful team effort involving residents, staff, managers, and even family members.

With a colourful theme and no limits on creativity, everyone has had the chance to let their imagination shine. Each resident has their own named rock, making it even more personal and meaningful. We’ve carefully varnished them and saved them, ready to place outside as the weather improves. 🌈

We had a wonderful time celebrating St Patrick’s Day last week! ☘️ Residents enjoyed learning more about the occasion with a fun Irish quiz, decorating the home with beautiful shamrock paintings, and joining in a lively singalong. A big thank you to Maria Florey, who put together a fantastic set of Irish songs, she’s always so wonderful and truly dresses for the occasion! 😍

This week, we were delighted to welcome Dave Harris, who entertained everyone with his incredible musical talents. Playing the guitar, ukulele, accordion, and mouth organ, he had everyone singing along to well-loved tunes. It’s been such a joyful and musical couple of weeks! 🎶

🌼 Spring Craft Fun! 🌼

To celebrate the nicer weather and the arrival of spring, we got creative and made beautiful daffodils from old egg boxes. ♻️🌼

It was a little bit fiddly at times, but the results were definitely worth it! We think they look fantastic and they’ve brought us lots of cheer and a lovely reminder that spring is on the way. 🌷

We celebrated International Women’s Day by getting creative and making collages filled with empowering words that describe us as women. 💜

It was a wonderful activity where we shared positivity, lifted each other up, and reflected on the strength, kindness, and resilience that women bring to the world every day. We had such a great time creating together and celebrating one another! 🤩 👏
