ANNOUNCEMENT!
MATES FC would like to thank Chelmsford Round Table, who have amazingly covered and provided the cost of 6 months of our Thursday sessions!
Each week we see around 40-60 people attend these sessions to get out on the pitch and boost their positive mental health and help people when they are at their lowest or struggling. Each week we see 2-4 new faces on average.
Thanks to Chelmsford Round Table we can continue these free sessions with Coaches volunteering their time for free from Football Fitness Club, ensuring that money doesn't stand between getting out and active and doing all we can to support.
They have also provided 40 new bibs which proudly show their logos, for use at this session.
We desperately need help like this from the community to allow us to keep doing what we are doing and to grow our capacity to help with the demand we are facing.

Who are Chelmsford Round Table?
In their own words:
Whilst our clubs history dates back to 1937, Chelmsford Round Table is not full of old has beens! We are a group of young guys who enjoy making a difference in our local community whilst having fun doing so.
How do you have fun while doing community work you ask? Simple, you meet up with like-minded individuals and work together to put on things like fireworks displays, summer fetes, quizzes, treasure hunts and es**rt Santa round the town. We hope our humble community events bring a bit of fun for everyone attending while raising money for worthy causes. All the money we raise finds its way to charities and good causes right here in Chelmsford.
But we are not simply a community support group. We’re here to offer fellowship and fun as well. Like all Round Table Clubs across the country we meet twice a month. These meetings range from informal catch ups in the pub to sports and leisure activities in the local area. We seek to challenge, inspire and learn from each other. We are a part of a global network of young men who are looking to make a difference in their local communities. We are Round Table
What We Do
We are probably best known in Chelmsford for our spectacular fireworks displays held in Admirals Park in November. We can also be found in December helping Santa to visit all the good boys and girls of Chelmsford.
We also enjoy making friends and having fun in our community. Last year alone our socials included: Canoeing, clay pigeon shooting, high ropes course, volunteering at Chelmsford Beer Festival, curry night, escape room, trailer towing training, manning water stations at the Chelmsford Marathon, ping pong at Bounce, weekend international trips, Burns night supper and a poker night. We also had regular business meetings throughout the course of the year. To be honest we don’t know how we packed it all in either.
Membership of Round Table is for young men aged between 18 and 45 irrespective of religious beliefs or political opinions. We have certain expectations on attendance, but there are no oaths or vows of allegiance to be sworn. We are always looking to make new friends and strongly encourage interested guys to get in touch.
