On Sunday evenings I like to get prepped for the week ahead, not just from a work perspective but from a self care angle too
It’s so easy to steam into the working week on a Monday morning without considering when and if you will have time to recharge your batteries. Not taking care of yourself and of your energy only ends one way… and it ain’t pretty, I know from experience and Daz can vouch for this!
I spend a lot of time ‘plugged in’ and ‘switched on’, and sometimes it can be hard to relax in the evenings, I’m sure many of you can relate. So over the past few weeks I’ve been working hard on my evening routine and my boundaries with technology.
Once I have logged off for the evening, usually around 8.30pm, my phone goes on airplane mode and it stays in my office, it doesn’t come with me to the sofa and it doesn’t come with me to bed. The first few days were hard but I can’t even begin to tell you how much better I feel and how much easier I drift off to sleep.
