I used to genuinely believe I could read people’s minds like it was a skill.
I was so tuned into body language that I thought every glance, sigh, or shift meant something about me.
But what I eventually realised?
I wasn’t reading minds…
I was reading my fears.
Jumping to conclusions is one of the quickest ways to trigger anxiety, tension, and creative shutdown.
And most of the time, we don’t even notice we’re doing it.
Here are two simple questions that helped me break the habit:
✨ What evidence do I actually have?
✨ What else could be true?
They interrupt the spiral, calm your nervous system, and help your brain shift out of threat mode.
If you catch yourself assuming, predicting, or filling in the blanks, pause.
Awareness is the first step to rewiring this pattern.
Hypnosis is even better! 😉
Save this for the next time your thoughts run ahead of the facts and share it with someone who overthinks everything. 💛
