Who doesn't love a before & after?

Well I don't always love them...! As I've said in previous posts this is just a snapshot of how the horse presented pre and post McTimoney Chiropractic adjustments and soft tissue therapy. The treatment process is so much more than how the horse looks after a single session.

Can you spot where Apollo was restricted? 🦴

This was Apollo's very first McTimoney session as his owner wants to ensure he's nice and comfortable before she starts working him. He was a little apprehensive about treatment (and why I was stood by his bottom...) but he settled really nicely and showed some lovely releases.

In his 2 before pictures he is sloping down the left shoulder and rounding out on the right, accompanied by some atrophy of the right trapezius. He is restricted to the left through his early thoracics, then to the right and back to the left through his lumbars. The pelvis is rotated ventrally (down) on the left and tilted cranially (forward) on the left.

After (under the lovely heat lamps...) he is more even through both shoulders, his ribcage is lifted and he is more aligned though the back. His pelvis is now even 🦴

I cannot stress enough this is just a snapshot of the session, there is so much more that goes into keeping horses aligned, every case is different!

Despite feed bags being flapped around, other horses being tacked up and ridden out and the occasional gust of wind, Lily was a superstar for her session yesterday. She's an opinionated girl and we've had to adjust some treatment to her but she's coming on leaps and bounds thanks to her owners and all the other professionals I'm working alongside to get Lily to her best most comfortable self ⭐

Hello all 🐾

It's about time I did a bit of a T&C's kind of post.

Prices:
My prices are increasing for new clients on the 1st December to £60 per horse and £50 per dog. Existing clients will increase from the 1st January 2025 (unless already pre booked / discussed). This is my first price increase since I qualified, I have tried to pre warn as many of you as possible! Thank you all so much for your continued support 💙

Payment:
Payment is required on the day, cash and bank transfer are both accepted. I send my details over at the time of booking and it is very much appreciated to be paid on time.

Cancellation:
I try to send appointment reminders the day before I see you, but it is ultimately your responsibility to remember. I understand things can change but please give me as much notice as possible if you do need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations within 24 hours will be charged full rate.

I currently treat 1-2 days a week around my full time role and already have bookings for 2025 - you are more than welcome to book a few slots in advance to ensure you definitely get a space!

Another year as a gold standard accredited practitioner 🌟 In addition to the chiropractic specific McTimoney Animal Association accreditation too!
To remain a RAMP member I have completed over 25 hours of CPD in the past year to ensure my treatment process and knowledge is always the best it can be 🦴🐴

Always a pleasure to treat these boys 💙 little Boff really has been through it but I can safely say this was the best I've seen him in the years (!) I've known him, he's such a credit to Amy and all the literal blood sweat and tears she's put in to get this gentleman to where he is.

A huge thank you to GY Equine - McTimoney Animal Chiropractor for looking after them while I've been away. Both had minimal skeletal misalignments but were quite sore in the neck and shoulders, Bingo also enjoyed some treatment around his face and jaw following a pull back on the head collar at the beginning of the year 🦴

I've included these before and after pictures although I wish I'd done them from the side as well as the back 🤦🏻‍♀️ Bingo really lifted up through his back post treatment, as did Boff. They both did have a small curve through the spine that we brought back into optimal alignment, as well as pelvic rotation down to the right.
