Massage therapists don't have to be trained or insured. They should be.
A good therapist will be happy to show you their recognised qualifications and insurance documentation. I hold a City and Guilds Level 3. This covers not just massage techniques but anatomy, safety, contraindications, allergies and more. Every client has an in depth consultation before they get on the massage couch. Don't put yourself at risk by booking an unqualified therapist. A poor massage might be the least of your worries.
