We’re looking for a Community Executive to join our brilliant team, bringing energy, creativity, and connection to our neighbourhood workspace in High Wycombe's historic Old Library.

This is a key role where no two days are the same, from welcoming members and producing events to keeping our space running smoothly. You’ll play a central part in making Patch a home for work, community and culture.

In this role, you’ll act as a:

✨ Member champion - greet members and guests, lead tours, and make everyone feel inspired and supported

🎨 Culture curator - design and deliver engaging events and workshops that showcase local creativity and strengthen community ties

🤝 Community builder - develop partnerships with local groups, charities, and creatives to bring collaborative projects and pop-ups to life

It was a packed night at Patch in last night! 🕯️

We were honored to host over 50 for ‘The Original Essex Girls: Recalling the Witch Trials in Chelmsford’.

This event formed part of ’s fantastic Witches of Chelmsford focus this October half term, and included a powerful deep dive into the history of the Witch Trials in Essex and their lasting connections to the present day.

A massive thank you to our panelists who expertly led the conversation on community, craft, and modern relevance: , , , Emma Wardall from , and our chair .

We ended the evening with a candlelit walk of Remembrance to lay roses at Shire Hall, the site of the first witchcraft ex*****on in England, and many more subsequently.

This was a fantastic evening filled with brilliant conversations essential to our local history and community. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

🌿 Building a Nature Alliance at Patch in 🌿

Last week, a fantastic community came together in Academy for Building a Nature Alliance: Reconnecting People to Local Nature and Food.

We began with local artist and filmmaker Marley Karazimba’s inspiring documentary “Don’t Fight the Land That Feeds You”, exploring regenerative farming and community-supported agriculture across Essex.

The screening led into a lively and thoughtful panel discussion chaired by Owen Middleton, joined by Marley, Jo (Wilderness Foundation), Emma Gray (North Essex Farm Cluster), and Naomi Andrews (Essex Wildlife Trust). Together, they explored how we can reconnect people with local food systems, strengthen collaboration, and scale up nature-positive action.

From shared meals to shared land, the evening was a celebration of creativity, community, and people power. As Emma reminded us, “You don’t have to bring a cathedral, just a brick. Small steps can lead to big impact.”
