Do you know any young people aged 18 - 25?

The campaign focuses on the everyday benefits of walking, cycling or taking the bus - whether it’s catching up with friends, enjoying time to think or getting fitness for free - rather than automatically reaching for the car keys.

We're asking young people aged 18 - 25 who are resident in Essex to post a selfie of themselves on Instagram walking, cycling or using public transport tagging with .

Prize include Beats wireless headphones or a Fitbit Smartwatch.
All entries must be uploaded by 19th October so they haven't got long!

is back! Brought to you by Bikeability, this year’s record-breaking pedal power event is taking place this week. Hundreds of children across Essex are expected to either cycle to school every day, swap just one car journey for cycling, discover somewhere new on their bikes or go for a cycle ride with their family. 🚲 🚲 🚲

Tto celebrate, Essex County Councillor Tom Cunningham visited De Vere Primary School in Castle Hedingham to see a training session in action and watch the children learn how to navigate simple junctions, position themselves on the road and pass side roads safely.

Did you know that our cycling training team includes 40 qualified instructors who deliver Bikeability sessions in more than 300 Essex schools! Since April this year, 4,500 children have been trained.

Well done to everybody taking part πŸ’₯
