Not all under-eye puffiness is natural aging — old filler can often be the hidden cause ✨

These before & after photos show a patient who came to our Dr at Skin Sense concerned about puffiness, bulging under-eye bags, and a heavy, drooping appearance beneath the eyes.

She had tear trough filler placed elsewhere several years ago and believed it would have naturally dissolved over time. However, filler doesn’t always completely disappear. As the face ages and changes, old filler can shift, hold water, and create puffiness or a swollen under-eye appearance — often making the area look heavier and more tired.

Our Dr recognised that the remaining filler was contributing to the issue and safely dissolved the old filler, revealing a smoother, fresher, and more natural under-eye result, as seen in these photos ✨

So what is filler removal?

Filler removal involves using an enzyme called hyaluronidase, which safely breaks down hyaluronic acid filler beneath the skin. The treatment works by dissolving unwanted or migrated filler so the body can naturally absorb it. It’s commonly used to correct puffiness, unevenness, migration, or overfilled areas.
