About the weekend:
Swara Yoga originates from the little-known Ta***ic text, The Siva Swarodaya. ‘Swara’ means flow, specifically referring to the flow of breath through each nostril, while ‘yoga’ means union—here, a union achieved through the breath.
This ancient Ta***ic science explores the rhythms of pranic energy in the body, revealing how the movement of prana can be influenced by the breath. It teaches that prana—the subtle aspect of breath—shifts at regular intervals throughout the day. Swara Yoga analyzes these pranic rhythms and uses pranayama (breathing techniques) to harmonize prana and balance the pranic body. Since breath has a profound effect on consciousness, these practices cultivate deep awareness.
Through Swara Yoga, our awareness becomes so refined that we can closely observe ourselves, maintaining inner balance as these pranic flows change. Throughout the weekend, we will explore the five primary tattwas (elements) that compose the body and how their properties are reflected in every cell.
The programme will include Asana, Pranayama, Yoga Nidra, and Meditation.
