Afternoon Tea Week at was a delightful trip down memory lane! ☕🍰 Residents enjoyed a lovely selection of cakes served on fine china, sparking fond memories of Sundays when their mothers would bring out the 'posh cups' which gave us all a good laugh!

A Heartwarming Afternoon at St Andrew’s Church ⛪️🥣🥖

Today, we joined the lovely Soup & Roll lunch at St Andrew’s Church in Hatfield Peverel, a wonderful monthly event recommended by Marion, a dear friend of Wickham House. 💛

Elsie and Valerie came along and had a fantastic time. The soup was delicious, followed by tea, cake, and lovely conversation. ☕️🧁

A big thank you to Marion for the invite and we’re already looking forward to next time!

With great pleasure we welcomed back Frederick Douglas Care Home Entertainment for a musical extravaganza, and the theme was “Colour”. We shook tambourines, waved ribbons & sang along as we exercised. After burning all those calories we indulged ourselves with delicious homemade fruit smoothies.

🎶 A Musical Afternoon at ! 🎶

We had a wonderful afternoon filled with music, laughter, and joy as the lovely Carly treated us to a fantastic performance of familiar favourites! 🎤💃

There was plenty of hand clapping, chair dancing, and arm waving as everyone sang along, even our visiting Chiropodist joined in the fun! 👏🪑🎵

Thank you, Carly, for bringing such joy to our home – what a fabulous time we had! 💛

Not ones to miss a special occasion at , we visited the Duke of Wellington in Hatfield Peverel to celebrate International Beer Day. Residents enjoyed a lovely pub lunch paired with a refreshing beer—a perfect way to mark the day!

Pet Therapy & National Ice Cream Day at Wickham House Care Home ! 🍦🐾

Our residents had a wonderful time when Ann from Pet Therapy visited with the ever-lovely Skyla. Her gentle nature brought smiles all around! 🐶💛

To top off the day, we enjoyed a sweet treat for National Ice Cream Day—complete with the familiar jingle of the ice cream van as it pulled up! 🍦🎶 A perfect blend of cuddles and cones!

This afternoon we all enjoyed Tim Arthur on guitar. We could not keep still as he sang hits from the 50’s & 60’s. Wickham House was rocking, there was a lot of chair dancing as we sang along to the many much loved songs. 🎶🎤🎸 🕺🏿
