We had a fantastic afternoon at Ashfield when Gfitness came to visit for an exercise session at Wickham House Care Home ๐Ÿ’œ

Dean got everyone moving with some gentle bending and stretching, and there was a really lovely energy in the room as our wonderful residents joined in at their own pace. What mattered most was that everyone was smiling, having a go, and enjoying themselves rather than taking it too seriously ๐Ÿ˜Š

There was plenty of encouragement, a bit of laughter along the way, and a real sense of togetherness as everyone took part. By the end of the session, it was clear how much it had lifted the mood all round.

Our residents were already saying they would love to see Dean back again soon, and we could not agree more. What a lovely way to spend the afternoon ๐Ÿ’œ

We had such a lovely time celebrating St Georgeโ€™s Day here at our home, with Wickham House Care Home looking the part in red and white balloons and flags all around!

Andy Vocals kept us well entertained, and before long our residents were singing along, having a little dance and sharing plenty of laughs together. It was one of those afternoons where the room just felt full of joy.

After all that fun, we sat down to a delicious afternoon tea with strawberries and cream and a tempting spread of cakes. There were lots of happy faces and empty plates by the end ๐Ÿ’œ

The afternoon quickly filled with laughter as our residents and team came together for a good sing along, a bit of dancing and plenty of fun. There were some brilliant song choices and lots of toe tapping, with everyone joining in however they felt comfortable.

It was one of those feel good afternoons where the smiles said it all, and it was lovely to see everyone enjoying the moment together. What song would get you up for a dance? ๐ŸŽถ

This Easter weekend at Wickham House Care Home was filled with warmth, kindness, and plenty of delicious treats as we came together to celebrate in the most joyful way. From Good Friday through to Easter Sunday, every moment was thoughtfully shared among residents and staff, creating memories to treasure ๐Ÿฃ

On Good Friday, the day began with the simple pleasure of enjoying traditional hot cross buns together, bringing comfort and a sense of familiarity to everyone gathered. It was a lovely way to start the Easter celebrations, with smiles shared over something so timeless and meaningful๐Ÿฅ™

In the lead up to Easter Sunday, residents and staff worked together to decorate a beautiful trolley using their handmade Easter crafts, carefully adding colourful touches and chocolate eggs ready to be gifted. The excitement built as the trolley came together, and everyone was so proud of how fantastic it looked ๐ŸŽจ

Easter Sunday itself brought even more joy as we were delighted to welcome Skyla and Ann from Essex Therapy Dogs , who joined us to help deliver Easter eggs to our residents. Their visit added an extra layer of warmth and companionship to the day, making the celebrations even more special for everyone involved๐Ÿพ

It was a truly heartwarming Easter weekend, full of togetherness, generosity, and happy moments shared across our home ๐Ÿ˜‹

We were thrilled to be able to arrange a โ€œGents Day Outโ€ here at Wickham House Care Home and took a trip to the amazing Museum of Power in . Our wonderful residents, Ron and Peter, were overjoyed to be joined by their sons as we toured the amazing and fascinating exhibits the museum had to offer.

Our resident Barry was amazed to see an old Re*****on Typewriter as he was a typewriter engineer by trade and he then recounted a story about the time he had to rescue a lady who got her fingers stuck between the keys, which made us laugh. We then took the opportunity to enjoy a lovely lunch in the onsite restaurant.

Thank you to the Museum of Power staff who made us very welcome and a truly special day for all of us.
