Peverel Green Care Home are thrilled to be hosting our very own Pup Pageant on Saturday 4th October!🐶

This event is to raise awareness and funds for Wallace Kennels Dog Rescue in , through their registered charity Friends of Wallace Kennels.💜

Entries cost just £2, and all funds raised on the day will go to helping support their great work rehoming dogs that need a loving pup parent just like you. If you don’t have a dog to enter, you can still come along and enjoy the fun with the family and you can still donate to the charity by clicking this link: https://www.justgiving.com/charity/friendsofwallacekennels

What a lovely way to celebrate the bank Holiday. 💐🌻

Every year St Peter ad Vincula, Coggeshall hosts it's Flower Festival and 2025 was no exception. The residents had a beautiful time looking at the different displays and enjoying the scenery, whilst connecting with the church.

Sun, Goats and Chickens - what could possibly go wrong? 🐐 🐔

Nothing at all!
We had a fantastic day at White Elm Garden Centre & Tea Room / White Elm Petting Farm visiting the animals and stopping off for some tea and cake 🍰

Thank you to the team at White Elm Garden Centre & Tea Room / White Elm Petting Farm for making our residents feel so welcome and make it accessible for them to see your well looked after animals. We hope to see you again soon!

From 11am to 1pm, we’ll be hosting a fantastic fundraising event in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

We’d love for you to get involved in any of the following ways:

👶IT'S A BOY 👶

Celebrating a new life is always exciting, so why not make a party out of it! 🥳

Our lovely carer Joy was spoilt rotten with her own baby shower at Peverel Green. As you can see, she was incredibly happy as were the residents. She showed off her lovely gifts and is ready for the next chapter in her life.

We wish you all the best Joy and don't forget to bring the bouncing baby boy to visit! ❤️

You asked, we listened! 👂🦻

Following a meeting with our fantastic residents, we asked if there were any specific clubs they would enjoy and it was decided - Travel club 🌍

It was fantastic to hear the brilliant places our residents and their families have travelled to, and to reminisce on their stories. They reviewed the places they had been to which tied in fantastically to and the tourist industry was affected by the pandemic.

We're so looking forward to the next Travel Club, so why don't you give us an area to focus on next time? We are all 👂

We had a different type of animal therapy today, here at Peverel Green.... 🕷️ 🐍

Normally we run from spiders and snakes (we meaning me!), but we had the most fantastic demonstration and visit from ZooLab and their incredible creatures.

The residents learnt plenty of different facts including how many different types of species of snakes there are AND that although they look scary, Tarantulas aren't as dangerous as we think....Our furry friend Elvis was proof of that! 🕷️

Animal therapy is incredibly important for our residents, but some think dogs, cats and rabbits are the only way to go - but we're not close minded here at Peverel Green. We're looking forward to seeing the other animals Zoolab are looking at bringing next! 🕸️

Our amazing staff ensured our residents could enjoy the warm weather safely and comfortably, with plenty of smiles all around. 💛

The residents loved making their own arrangements with Elaine and are looking forward to her next visit! 💐

Making their own arrangements impacts all the senses (excluding taste of course. Maybe we will ask for some herbs next time!) and it's so beneficial for the residents to enjoy this activity whilst having a cognitive benefit. 🧠
