My wonderful patient came to me for a rhinoplasty procedure. As you can see she had asymmetric nostrils prior to her surgery. Along with correcting this the hump was also reduced alongside lifting the tip, reducing projection and performing a septoplasty to improve function.
A few things that scare me as a plastic surgeon. I love helping my patients achieve realistic goals so they can feel their best selves. Results take time and aftercare advice should always be followed.
As Breast Cancer Awareness month draws to a close it’s important to remember to regularly check your breasts for any changes.
Changes include:
- lumps or swelling
- changes in skin texture, dimpling, redness
- new inversion or ni**le changes
- discharge from the ni**le
- change in shape or size
- swelling or lump under the armpit
It’s not always big changes that give the most impact. Many patients want small tweaks and still wish to keep their unique identity with a little fine tuning. We work together to achieve the best possible outcome.

Mr Fateh Ahmad holds a substantive post as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at the world-renowned St. Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Chelmsford, Essex.
He graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London in 2000 and has undertaken plastic and cosmetic surgery training in London, East Grinstead, Chelmsford, Liverpool, Birmingham, Australia and New York.
In addition to completing his Plastic Surgery training in the UK, Mr Ahmad has also completed accredited national and international fellowships in microvascular reconstruction, craniofacial surgery and cosmetic surgery, all at world-renowned centres of excellence. His NHS practice encompasses complex Head and Neck reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, facial deformity and skin cancer.
Professional recognition
Following his Doctorate in Medicine, for which he was awarded a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Ahmad has published several book chapters, numerous peer-reviewed publications and over 100 national and international presentations. He maintains a keen interest in training and education and sits on the council of the Plastic Surgery Section of the Royal Society of Medicine.

He is also a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ISAPS).
