🖤✨ Celebrating Black History Month at Springfield Hospital ✨🖤
Over the past four weeks, our hospital community came together to honour Black History Month with a vibrant celebration of culture, heritage, and unity. Each week, our incredible colleagues treated teams to authentic dishes from around the world—lovingly prepared and shared from their own traditions:
🍛 Week 1: India – Aromatic dishes bursting with vibrant spices and comforting flavours
🥘 Week 2: Nigeria – Rich, flavourful cuisine showcasing deep cultural roots and culinary pride
🌴 Week 3: Jamaica – A bold, flavourful fusion vibrant spices, hearty ingredients, and soulful cooking techniques
🌍 Week 4: Zimbabwe – Nourishing meals steeped in tradition and shared with heartfelt stories
From the aromas in the kitchen to the rhythms of music echoing through our halls, these moments reminded us of the power of food and culture to bring people together. Black History Month is a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the contributions of Black communities past and present—and here at Springfield Hospital, it’s also a time to celebrate our own diverse and talented teams.
