šŸ’« From Student to Educator and still part of the Phoenix Family.

Over 15 years ago, Jemma started her beauty therapy training. She trained with us.
She built her skills.
She built her confidence.
She built her business.

And now?
She’s running her own 2-day lash educator course right here at Phoenix.

We honestly couldn’t be prouder.
This is why we do what we do.
We don’t just deliver qualifications.
We don’t just tick assessment boxes.
We don’t just hand out certificates.
We create therapists.
We nurture professionals.
We support business owners.

And sometimes… we get to watch them become educators themselves.
Seeing Jemma now, confidently teaching others, leading her own courses and growing her own brand - it’s exactly what long-term professional development looks like.
And the fact that she has chosen to use Phoenix as the space to teach in?
That’s really special.
It reminds us that education isn’t a moment in time.
It’s a journey.
And we’re honoured to still be part of hers.
Here’s to the next generation of lash artists you’re about to inspire.
If you're interested in training, drop a comment in this post, and we'll send you an information sheet

SLEEP - the healing state

Your circadian rhythm is controlled by a tiny pair of brain structures called the suprachiasmatic nucleus (SCN)

It the master circadian pacemaker and is composed of approximately 10,000 neurons. It regulates your daily (circadian) rhythms of behavior and physiology, including sleep-wake cycles, hormone release, and temperature, by processing light-dark input via the retina.

That’s why exposure to light from tech in the evenings can disrupt the sleep cycle. In fact, in a study those with chronic circadian abnormalities were found to be at more risk of cardiac events.

So, what does ā€˜self-care’ mean to you? Possibly things like

🌷 eating a healthy, nutritious diet🌷 exercising / gym visit🌷 moisturing skin🌷 having your hair, nails, lashes done🌷 prioritising sleep🌷 keeping hydrated🌷 meditation / mindfulness 🌷 less or no smoking / alcohol

The above list is recurring - you wouldn’t expect to feel good after only one healthy meal, or after one day of not smoking BUT that’s how some people view complementary therapies.
Kinda like a ā€˜one and done’ approach.

But to lead a truly holistic, healthy lifestyle your treatments need to be recurring and regular - an intrinsic part of your wellbeing regime.

Build the monthly investment into your budget - buy less from a corporate company (make that coffee at home!) and support your local, small business complementary therapist.

Your body will thank you.
