Noticing more hair in your brush lately?
You’re not alone. While losing a bit of hair each day is totally normal, more noticeable shedding can feel really unsettling.

Hair loss can be caused by all sorts of things — from stress and thyroid issues to postpartum changes, inflammation, or autoimmune conditions. But for many women in midlife, declining estrogen plays a major role.

✨ Why estrogen matters:
Estrogen helps keep your hair in its growth phase longer — which means thicker, glossier strands. When levels drop, hair may start to look and feel thinner, duller, or just not quite like it used to.

Ways to support hair growth naturally:

💆‍♀️ Manage stress
High cortisol (your stress hormone) can mess with hormonal balance and make hair more prone to thinning. Try:

With years of clinical experience behind her, much of the content aligned with her existing expertise — but in true professional form, she continues to show up, learn, and refine her knowledge. Jayne opened The Wellness Clinic in 2002 and it is still going strong. We are based in Chelmsford, Essex and we offer a wide range of beauty therapies, aesthetic treatments and health treatments in a relaxed, clean and private environment. Our friendly team of therapists help men and women postpone the signs of ageing, improve fitness levels and body tone, reduce fatigue, and maintain a sense of well-being. And because no two people are the same, we go out of our way to match the right therapy or treatment to you – the individual.

Not only do we specialise in skin excellence we also pride ourselves in the upmost quality with people skills, treatments and client care. We have a strong, united and friendly team which is noticable from the moment you are greeted at reception. We hope to make your experience the best it can be.
