The world has lost two truly beautiful souls. Andrea Jane Rawley and her Mother Brenda were tragically taken from us all far too soon on Monday. Andrea started as a client but soon became a good friend too. Andrea, I am going to miss seeing you, your wonderful conqours outfit ideas, your funny stories, your life advice and your true kindness. Rufus will miss raiding your lovely mum Brenda for all of her dog treats too! You are both going to be missed by so many people which just shows what wonderful ladies you truly are! 💔

A fantastic progress photo of a current kissing spine rehab client. Bears owner has been working hard and consistently with a combination of ground work exercises, stretches and mobilisation and the hard work is paying off! Bear started off with very little core strength, poor topline and significant asymmetry throughout his body. You can now see his topline is developing well and much more symmetrically. In many cases impingement of the DSPs can be treated successfully with conservative treatment if you are willing to commit to a structured rehab plan.

Equine Flu

We have been notified of a single case of equine influenza in an unvaccinated horse in the Essex area.

If you have precautions in place against the current strangles outbreak these should also help protect your horses against equine flu. Please note that whilst strangles isn’t airborne, Equine flu is!

As a minimum the following biosecurity precautions should be followed:

- Isolating any new horses for at least 21 days. 🏝️
- Not mixing with unknown horses 🐎
- ⁠Using own equipment (including water buckets) 🪣
- ⁠Not touching any other horses when at shows ❌
- ⁠Not sharing transport 🚛

Unfortunately, we do not have any further information regarding the current case but will update if any further information becomes available.
