Pool activity during pregnancy is very beneficial. The water’s buoyancy and resistance make stretching, gentle squatting, balance work, and even relaxed chatting all good for you.

Here’s why each helps:
• Water support reduces pressure on your joints, hips, and lower back
• Gentle squatting in the pool supports hip mobility, leg strength, and pelvic floor awareness with less strain
• Balance improves because the water slows movement and lowers fall risk
• Swelling decreases as water pressure helps circulation
• Chatting while moving is actually a good sign — if you can talk comfortably, you’re staying at a safe intensity (the “talk test”)

As long as:
• You feel comfortable and steady
• Movements are slow and controlled
• You’re not holding your breath
• There’s no pain, dizziness, or contractions

…then you’re doing exactly what’s recommended during pregnancy.

Gentle, supported movement in water is one of the safest and most enjoyable ways to stay active 🤍 ♥️💙💜💛💚🤍🩶🤎🩷. Move, stretch, and relax in the water during pregnancy 🌊
Supportive, gentle, and perfect for body and mind.

Apologies for being MIA, yesterday was my birthday and I'm still reeling from the celebrations (aka being born right after Christmas wasn't the best plan). Huge shoutout to my friends, family, and customers for making me feel special as a January baby! Guess what, I was due on January 1st, but I gave everyone a week to recover instead 🤣🤣 💕 ❤️

There's something magical about push and glides when you're expecting. The way the water supports your body, the gentle stretch, and the feeling of weightlessness... it's truly exhilarating! Plus, it's amazing for getting baby in position and easing back pressure.

Just a thought as I just had a wake-up call at a hotel recently! My midwife cousin told me about the body wash they had, and guess what? It had clary sage in it! Not good for pregnant mums, especially in early pregnancy. Always check what you’re using, and consult your doc before using anything with clary sage. 🙏. Please note Always avoid before 37 weeks, if you have high blood pressure, low laying placenta, c-section in the last two years or a history rapid labour, if you have heavy periods, can bring heavy bleeding in trimester 4.
