A Sunny Day Out in Maldon ☀️

On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of taking some of our service users on a wonderful day trip to Maldon. We soaked in the scenic views of the park and the waterfront, and enjoyed a classic lunch of scampi and chips. With the sun shining and smiles all around, it truly was a beautiful and memorable day.

Dear family and friends,

We warmly invite you to join us for a coffee and a slice of cake on Saturday 7th June, as we raise funds for a special day trip to Maldon for our wonderful service users.

Indulge in a delicious slice of cake - just £5 including a cup of coffee! Choose from our homemade favourites: Victoria Sponge, Carrot Cake, Chocolate cake and Lemon Drizzle.

We’ll be serving from 10:00AM - 4:00PM- just speak to a member of staff to place your order.

Alternatively if you prefer sweets over cake, why not take part in our Jelly Bean raffle? Guess the correct amount of Jelly Beans in the jar to win! Tickets £3 each. The raffle starts on Tuesday 3rd of June.

Today, we're thrilled to celebrate a heartwarming milestone at CCC.

Each month, we’re lucky to welcome Stella, our beloved therapy dog, and her devoted owner Jackie. Their visits bring joy and comfort to so many in our community.

Since joining us in January, Janet has carried a deep fear of dogs, stemming from a traumatic experience in childhood. For months, she would instinctively avoid any interaction when a dog was nearby.

But today was different.

With gentle encouragement and support from our dedicated staff, Janet took a brave step forward—she reached out and confidently stroked Stella for the very first time.

Her smile said it all. She was overjoyed and so proud of her progress, and we couldn’t be prouder of her courage. Moments like this are what make our work so meaningful.
