Anxiety doesn’t just appear out of nowhere…

Even though it can feel like it does.

That constant overthinking, the tight feeling in your chest, the “what if something goes wrong” thoughts…
They’re not random.

They’re your brain trying to protect you.

The problem is… it’s working overtime.

And when your mind is always scanning for danger, even when there isn’t any, it can leave you feeling exhausted, on edge, and stuck in a cycle you can’t switch off.

Training as an integrative counsellor while working as a hypnotherapist means constant learning and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Growth takes effort.

It’s subtle.
It’s quiet.
But you can feel it.

A pause.
A breath.
An “oh…”

When something finally clicks.

Being part of that never stops being special.

Watching someone join the dots for themselves. Seeing them realise they’re not broken. Seeing self-blame soften into understanding.

As therapists, we don’t fix people.
We create space for them to find their own insight.

And when that lightbulb moment happens, when clarity replaces confusion, you can almost see the weight lift.

It’s such a privilege to sit in that space and witness growth.

Moments like that are why I do this work

Anxiety grows when we focus on what we can’t control.
Other people. The future. The past. Outcomes.

Calm begins when we gently return to what we can control:
our thoughts, our actions, our effort, our boundaries.
