Today I officially became a Fully Comprehensive Pilates Instructor 💪🧘‍♀️

It’s been a journey of deep learning, dedication, and movement exploration — from matwork to all the large equipment (Reformer, Cadillac, Tower , Chair, and Barrels). I’ve loved every challenge and every “aha” moment along the way.

Huge thank you to everyone who has supported me — clients, family friends , mentors, and fellow teachers — you’ve kept me inspired and growing.
A special thank you to my incredible mentor Jo for your guidance, wisdom, and encouragement throughout this journey 🙏

Join Sue Giltnane and Holly Kostem for a deeply nourishing morning designed to help you move, release, and rest.

This unique workshop combines:
• Gentle Pilates to mobilise, strengthen and awaken the body
• Myofascial release using foam rollers, massage balls & hedgehogs
• Soothing restorative yoga
• An extended savasana with optional head massage using essential oils
• Deep relaxation through guided yoga nidra

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and organs. When healthy, it’s flexible and supports smooth movement. When it’s tight or stuck, it can lead to tension and pain.

How Pilates helps:
Pilates supports fascia health by encouraging flowing, hydrated movement and building balanced strength.

Why we use small equipment:
Foam rollers, spiky balls, and “hedgehogs” mimic massage, increase circulation, and help release tension in hard-to-reach areas — especially feet, glutes, and shoulders.

💚 Mat Pilates - Mixed level ability class , ideal for starting your Pilates journey or maintaining your practise. This is a great comprehensive class, working through pilates exercises and building on strength work and building blocks for the more advanced exercises. It’s a class for fast learners who love the strength and movement aspects of pilates!
💚 Gentle Mat - ideal for the complete beginner , new to exercise , slower pace ,working on the foundations of Pilates moves taking you through the pilates principles behind the technique to help you build familiarity with pilates mat exercises.

This fun chair based exercise class is for those who would like to improve their health and wellbeing but struggle to get on and off the floor! The aim of the class is to improve your mobility, flexibility and centre strength as well as improving posture, reducing joint and back pain and enhancing balance by using the 🪑

Great news! I’ve had two spaces open up for this Saturday’s Spring Wellbeing: Flow & Glow Workshop, running from 2:30–4:45 PM at Highwood Village Hall. We’ll start with a mindful, gentle Pilates flow and finish with a deep tissue facelift self-massage designed to sculpt and tone your facial muscles—leaving you with a beautiful, refreshed glow.

The 34 Pilates Mat exercises refer to the original sequence of exercises created by Joseph Pilates for mat-based workouts. These exercises are designed to build core strength, flexibility, and overall body control without the use of equipment. This sequence is challenging and flow-based, meaning the exercises transition smoothly from one to the next. Advanced practitioners follow the original order to maintain the integrity of the workout.

I will break them down in class offering a prep exercise before and then the exercise with plenty of modifications to suit all !
