Chelmsford 2024 Work Experience Programme, Now Open!

We are pleased to announce the return of our work experience programme here at Teledyne e2v, Chelmsford. This programme includes a number of one-week, unpaid placements during April, May, June and July 2024 with various teams including: Engineering, Site Services Business Administration, Site Facilities and Health & Safety.

Teledyne e2v was proud to sponsor this year’s Chelmsford Science Festival at Anglia Ruskin University. Some of our staff took part in the family weekend on 21st and 22nd October. It was great to engage with the public, share what we do and experience young people being excited to learn about STEM.

On Friday we celebrated International Women In Engineering Day! 🙌

To encourage the next generation of female engineers, Teledyne e2v Chelmsford invited girls from various local schools years 7-9 for this special occasion. They got to meet our talented female engineers and had a morning of fun-filled activities including:

👩‍💻 Simple circuits and microwaves
😎 VR headset
🔬 Looking under a microscope
🏭 Site tour of our facilities

We’ve had encouraging feedback:

🎉 What a way to kick off 2023!

Yesterday Women@Teledyne hosted their first networking event - providing face-to-face networking opportunities for our colleagues based in Chelmsford.

🎤 There was a question panel, streamed to colleagues across the UK, with senior leaders Gabriela Druitt Director of Engineering and Sarah Shaw Head of Contracts. This provided a fantastic opportunity to hear the story of their career 👩🏽‍🔧, get to know a bit about them outside of work and discuss how we can support women in the workplace.

👏 Well done to everyone involved in the organisation of this event - it was a roaring success and we look forward to seeing more events like this from Women@teledyne.

Chelmsford 2023 Apprenticeship Campaign Now Open!

Teledyne e2v have been supporting apprentices for over 60 years and our award-winning apprenticeship scheme is a fundamental part of our business. We are delighted to confirm that our 2023 recruitment campaign is now open!

We offer technician apprenticeships direct from GCSE as well as engineering degree apprenticeships for those wishing to enter from A-Level or BTEC level three studies.

The 2023 apprentice open day will be held at our Chelmsford Site on 17th February from 13:00 – 17:00. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested to meet our existing apprentices, see what they do in their roles and ask questions. Booking not required.
