Essex Society for Family History Family History & Genealogy All meetings are currently held on Zoom, open to both members and non-members. Meetings are open to both members and non-members.

The area covered by the ESFH is that of the old Essex county with the exception of 'London Boroughs' which are considered to be in the area of East of London FHS and Waltham Forest which is in the area of Waltham Forest FHS. Our headquarters are in Chelmsford with branches in Colchester, Harlow and Southend-on-Sea. Covid permitting, regular monthly meetings are held at each of our branches. A prin

ted copy of our magazine "The Essex Family Historian" is issued three times a year to members, or as a digital copy at a reduced membership fee to digital members via the Members Only area of our website. For the benefit of members who cannot access local meetings in person in Essex, we operate a CDs by Post service from our online shop. All the work of the Society is undertaken by volunteers. There are no paid officials. Members may self maintain their list of Surname Interests in the https://www.esfh.org.uk/interests.php section of the website
