Here’s an update
Our volunteers are amazing

If all there on a Wednesday we have 19 volunteers,9 of which are PB2 qualified & 7 are qualified as first aiders.

On a Thursday if all there we have 20 volunteers, 10 with PB2 & 4 first aiders.

It is my belief you can never have too many volunteers, there is always something to do, trust me I know!!

So before I forget, THANK YOU to all the current volunteers, and if anyone is interested in joining our happy gang then please do contact me at hanningfieldsailabilityproject@gmail.com
Have a great day everyone
Carol

Join us online on Monday 23rd March to discover how your Sailability Club can grow and thrive.

Through honest discussion and practical examples, you’ll gain ideas you can apply straight away - whether you’re looking to strengthen your existing Sailability activity or explore what it could look like for your organisation.

This session will focus on:

⛵ Sharing good practice from Sailability groups that are successfully working with external organisations to bring new people into sailing.
⛵ How to proactively reach out to your local community to engage more people with disabilities.
⛵ How existing Sailability Clubs have created strong links with disability organisations, care homes and SEN schools to promote their offer and get more people on the water.

Your host for the evening, Mark Jardine from Yachts and Yachting, will be joined by Joff McGill, RYA Sailability Manager, Dave Cooke from the Woolverstone Project and Adrian Tebbutt from Snettisham Beach Sailing Club.

Afternoon all
Well season nearly here 😱 boats are being prepared- great job so far THANK YOU.
As most of you know I won’t be there the first 2 weeks - family holiday.
I’m grateful to Claire who has stepped in to do membership & bookings in my absence.
Main aim is to get sailors out sailing.
Although no bookings for the morning of Wednesday 1st April volunteers still need to be there early to get boats rigged & ready for when sailing starts in the afternoon. Hopefully this will allow you to have a sail to test the boats.
SAILORS if you can appear after 12:00 to complete membership, ready for sailing at 13:00/13:30
License is in the process of being agreed and the water is coming in nicely.
Boats have to be returned to pontoon by 15:30
Launching of the Martin 16 & racing can be put on hold till my return.
I’ll be there the next 2 Wednesdays to complete any memberships.
If I don’t see you beforehand
HAVE A FANTASTIC START to the season. May the sun shine & the winds be kind
