This is hyperpigmentation caused by sun damage on my own face. I had some treatment for it last week which has temporarily made it even darker.
It’s predominantly on one side of my face and quite likely from driving. I used to wear a foundation with SPF in every day, driving along happily thinking my face was protected.
The reality was that during every car journey the one side of my was being damaged more from sun exposure through the drivers window.
Whilst I now wear a separate mineral sunscreen and use a wide range of professional skincare including vitamin C, retinol, AHA’s and lots of antioxidants- the damage was already done and very deep.
I hate being without make up now, even though my skin overall is in good condition which is frustrating in my line of work.
Don’t be like me, don’t wait until the damage is done. Protect your face every day of the year with a separate sunscreen- mineral is best.
You can put make up over the top.
If you’re bamboozled by the choices send me a message.
