And I have successfully fitted my first set of wheels on to a lovely dog 🐕 🛞

Wheels aren’t for everyone, but for some dogs who really struggle with their mobility due to hindlimb weakness (for any number of reasons), they can really help to improve quality of life!

For more information, please get in touch - I’d love to help🥰🐾

🐾 THE ILIOPSOAS MUSCLE GROUP IN DOGS 🐾

I’ve had a few dogs present with muscle tears recently, with two of them being iliopsoas tears, so thought I’d do a post to increase awareness of the muscle group!

🦴 Anatomy
The iliopsoas is made up of three muscles:
• Psoas major – originates from T12 - L5 (lumbar spine)
•Psoas minor - originates from T12 and L1
• Iliacus – originates from the ilium (inner surface of the pelvis)

These muscles join together and attach to the lesser trochanter of the femur, near the top of the hind leg.

🐕 Primary Function
The iliopsoas is the main hip flexor muscle in dogs.
Its main role is to bring the hind limb forward.

This muscle is especially active during:
• Walking
• Running
• Jumping
• Climbing stairs
• Getting in and out of the car

🏃 Why It Matters
The iliopsoas is essential for smooth stride movement, hip stability, and athletic performance.

It is particularly important in active and sporting dogs who perform:
• Agility
• Flyball
• Canicross

⚠️ Common Issue: Iliopsoas Strain
This is one of the more common soft tissue injuries seen in active dogs.

Signs may include:
• Lameness or limping in a hind leg
• Shortened stride
• Difficulty jumping
• Pain when the hip is extended
• Reduced performance

💡 Owner Tip
If your dog suddenly becomes reluctant to jump, run, or use the stairs, the iliopsoas may be involved. Early assessment and rehab can make a big difference.

I have had the most amazing two days at Crufts 2026, supporting lovely clients, friends, and spending far too much money shopping 🛍️ 🐕

First off on Thursday I watched Jackie with her lovely Corgi Billy in the showing ring! They came 3rd 🥉 as my first time watching showing - they did really well!!

Next up was Nicola Smith (.agility ) with Fleur, who ran in the Young Kennel Club (YKC) Graduate agility class, and came second 🥈🤩 It was Fleur’s first time at crufts and she took it all in her stride!

Today was all about Toni and Sula, who ran in the Anything But Collie (ABC) final! They won the Jumping round, and came fourth in the Agility! With the only pair having two double clears, this meant they won overall 🥇 🏆

It’s an absolute pleasure to treat such talented dogs, and be able to watch them do so well in their different disciplines!

Thank you to and for some great company! Let’s do it again next year🤩

Mini really enjoyed her H-Wave treatment last week 🥰

H‑Wave creates low‑frequency, non‑fatiguing contractions. These gentle movements help muscles release tension without causing soreness.
The waveform increases blood circulation in the treated area - this brings oxygen and nutrients, while improving lymphatic drainage which helps to remove inflammation‑related waste products.

H‑Wave can also help decrease pain signaling and lower overall discomfort in tight or spasmed muscles, allowing the horse to move more freely.

Mini has the best facial expressions and likes to chat away during treatment which is SO sweet 🥰
