Meet our physiotherapist Shani who has been with us at Coates Physiotherapy in our Chepstow clinic for a couple of years now...

Shani has worked as a senior physiotherapist in both the NHS and
private hospital sectors since earning her degree from Sheffield
Hallam University in 1997. She has also worked in elite sports such as rugby and
golf. Although Shani has worked in many different disciplines, she has
always had a particular interest in trauma and musculoskeletal
disorders. Shani has worked in private practice for the past 17 years
and has a special interest in shoulder conditions, namely rotator cuff
pathology, frozen shoulder issues, traumatic shoulder injuries,
shoulder instability, and injury and recovery after shoulder surgery.
She has vast experience treating a variety of other musculoskeletal
disorders, such as soft tissue and sports injuries, spinal issues, and
joint rehabilitation.

Its Throwback Thursday ! that was a quick week. Any I have probably give this exercise out a few times a day for patients to work on from home. Its just one of those pure functional excercises that needs to get done every day....Like brushing your teeth, don't over think it, just do it.

We were never designed to sit for hours, which is what we now do, and then we wonder why we get calf and Achilles issues when we try and make them work!!

We have always done loads of videos for our patients, to explain things in more depth, give information about certain exercises and show how exercises are done. These have been on our 'Physio in a Box' page, but as I always telling patients to look them up, we thought would would just start posting on here. And yes we have got a bit older 🤣🤣🤣
