Oh we do like to be beside the seaside, so the song goes. Luckily we were recognizing National Beach Day inside and not out in the rain. Reminiscing about the naughty postcards and the cheeky hats that many residents used to wear. Singing, dancing and enjoying ice cream was enjoyed by many.

We had a full house for the showing of The Notebook in the cinema this afternoon. Along with the excellent movie the residents enjoyed popcorn and ice-cream. They will have to wait and see what the next block buster will be to hit Chertsey Parklands.

Baking together is such a lovely way to share memories, spark conversations and of course a well-deserved treat with a cup of tea. Thank you ladies making a successful activity.

A huge thank you to everyone that came to the Chertsey Parklands Summer Fayre. The afternoon was filled with laughter, music and delicious food prepared by our fantastic kitchen staff. The residents had a lovely afternoon with friends and family. We celebrated a resident’s birthday at the same time. Please take to look through the pictures,

Just to remind everyone about our Summer Fayre this Saturday the 16th of August. It will start from 12.00 midday and finish around 4.00pm. We have a variety of stalls, a photo booth, face painter and lots more. There will be a BBQ and refreshments throughout the afternoon. We have a tombola along with a secret auction and there will be donation tins at various points. All monies made on the day will be split between Epilepsy Research Institute UK and Dementia Carers Support.
