As you ae aware we are holding our Summer Fair on the 16th of August from 12.00midday to 4.00pm. We are raising funds for 2 charities that are close to our hearts. The first one is Epilepsy Research and the other is Dementia Carers Support. Now to enable us to raise funds we would really appreciate donations for our Tombola and some extra special ones for our Silent Auction which we will be holding on the day. Thank you in advance for your kind donations.

Yesterday the residents had an amazing French themed day where we all learnt some interesting facts about France and enjoyed discussing their own personal memories of France. We really have to praise Attila, our head chef, and the kitchen staff for putting on a fantastic French feast. We must also thank the other staff that assisted in making it such a great success 👏👏

We were lucky enough to have Berkshire Birds of Prey visit today. The residents, and staff, loved being able to handle the gorgeous birds. It was a real job deciding which pictures to put up.

Some ladies felt relaxed, refreshed and spoilt yesterday afternoon. This was after an enjoyable pamper session spent with friends enjoying good conversation and enjoying a glass or 2 of wine.

World Wellbeing Week is a global initiative held annually in the week in June to promote and raise awareness of the importance of wellbeing.
We also have the pleasure of having 2 students from Salesian School on work experience this week, who were assisting the residents with the art.

Meet Lu, our wonderful receptionist here at Chertsey Parklands Manor Care Home , and her adorable dog Yogi, who occasionally joins us at work! Yogi loves spending time with our Client Liaison Manager, Robyn, and brightens everyone's day.

We’re proud to be a pet-friendly care home, and our residents always enjoy visits from family members who bring along their furry companions. 🐕

It’s well known that animals can have a positive impact on mental health, especially for the elderly. That’s why we also host regular pet therapy sessions — they bring so much joy, comfort, and connection to our community.

Here's to Yogi and all the wagging tails that visit us 🐾

We tried to wait for a cooler day to celebrate picnic month but it’s just getter hotter. We got the umbrellas out and had our picnic under the trees to keep as cool as possible. The staff that braved the heat enjoyed the delights the kitchen put together for them.

Was an absolute pleasure it was to be listening to the warm tender voice of Yuri Sabatini Italian Tenor this afternoon. Singing on a special couple’s 64th wedding anniversary was a real treat for them.

Residents love the garden at Parklands and it just seemed a natural thing to do to take pictures of it. Residents have really enjoyed snapping away and I think you will agree they captured some beautiful colours. They also caught the end product of the residents planting the new flowers.
