This year marks the 22nd year of Baby Loss Awareness Week in the UK - a week for everyone who has experienced a baby loss to come together to remember and commemorate our much-love and missed babies.

This week also provides an opportunity to raise awareness of the impact of pregnancy and baby loss; the importance that bereavement support plays in the ongoing bereavement journey and of the vital work that is needed to improve pregnancy outcomes and save babies' lives.

Baby Loss Awareness Week culminates with the global 'Wave of Light' on 15th October, which is also a globally recognised event.

We invite you to join families across the world by lighting a candle today at 7pm local time and leaving it to burn for at least one hour to remember all babies that have died too soon.

Our maternity clinical practice educator, Dee attended the Brooklands Innovation Academy at the start of October to engage with and inspire local students about careers in the NHS.

On the day she ran a workshop in partnership with the trauma and orthopaedic clinical practice educator, offering a unique insight into their roles and how they support both their team and their patients.

The interactive session was met with great enthusiasm and curiosity from the students.
