A huge thank you and well done to the two ASPH Charity London Marathon runners who represented us brilliantly on Sunday 26 April. Both finished with personal bests thousands of pounds raised for the trust.

Haydn has raised £4,099 so far for the Bradley Unit, which will continue to rise as he trains for his Ultra Marathon in Jersey in August. Darren has raised £13,000 to be split equally between the Urology and Cardiology departments.

Today we remember the courage, sacrifice, and resilience of the generation who endured the hardships of World War II and celebrated the long-awaited victory in Europe.

81 years ago, streets filled with cheering crowds, waving flags, music, dancing, and hope as the news spread that the war in Europe had finally come to an end.

We honour the servicemen and women, the families who waited at home, and the civilians who kept going through the darkest of times. Their strength and unity will never be forgotten.

Lest we forget. ❤️

The site is busier than ever over at our Macmillan Cancer Support Centre, marking a major milestone in the programme.

Significant progress has been made, with more of the ventilation system installed, including ductwork. Side rooms have now been plastered and are receiving their first coats of paint, while work continues in the meeting room and main area.

Outside, paving slabs have been laid in the garden, bringing the space closer to completion.

It’s exciting to see the Centre really taking shape as we move towards the finish line.

We’re delighted to share that Louise Stead, Group Chief Executive of Royal Surrey and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals, has been recognised by the Health Service Journal (HSJ) as one of the top 50 Trust Chief Executives in England ⭐️

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Louise has been named on the prestigious list of healthcare leaders.

Last week we celebrated perinatal successes across Surrey Heartlands, showcasing the excellent work of Maternity and Neonatal services in supporting women, babies, and families.

The day brought together staff in person and virtually to share best practice and support future collaboration. It was a truly inspiring day, showcasing the excellent work at ASPH from our passionate and dedicated staff, with an emphasis on the importance of a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to patient care.

The countdown is on to the first Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals’ Charity Fun Run on Saturday 27 June 2026.

The event will take place at Kempton Park Racecourse and has something for everyone:
