The NHS is asking patients to use services wisely during the upcoming period of industrial action and take simple steps to help ensure care is available to patients who need it most. This includes using 111 online as the first port of call for health needs and continuing to only use 999 if it is a life-threatening emergency.

Our Chief Medical Officer, Dr Mark Roland, shares his advise on helping patients make sensible choices during this time.

To celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, we are excited to share a Podcast where Krishma Gola and Bhagyashree Nakum share their experiences of working in the NHS as people of South Asian heritage, we also enjoyed sharing this with our staff at our launch event at our Ashford Hospital site.

We hope that this will help shine a light on understanding, inclusion, and respect - key values that guide our work at ASPH.

We are very pleased to announce Rebecca Rothwell, Physiotherapist, as the winner of June’s Star of The Month 🏆

Highlights from her nomination included: ‘ I believe her exceptional care and support deserve acknowledgement. From my very first appointment - which I had been anxiously anticipating - Becky demonstrated a level of compassion and tact that I hadn’t experienced before. Those early sessions uncovered many difficult issues, but Becky met each one with patience, understanding, and unwavering support, even when matters extended beyond her direct remit.

Her experience made her especially well-suited to guide me through it all. She consistently goes above and beyond, and I always leave our sessions feeling better than when I arrived.’

The award was presented to Rebecca by Kate Colban, Interim Associate Director of Therapies. Rebecca will receive £100 Love to Shop vouchers and an invitation to the Staff Achievement Awards 2025! Congratulations Rebecca!
