The owners and staff of The Grange are committed to providing the very best individualised and person-centred care in a warm, homely environment that respects the individuals' right to privacy, dignity and personal choice and this is reflected in our excellent Care Quality Commission report. are. We are acutely aware of just how daunting the prospect of a move to a Care Home can be to a person who has previously led a full and independent life. With this in mind, our aim is to ensure that each person is cared for in a manner to promote as much independence as possible with the appropriate support measures in place. Qualified nursing staff are on duty 24 hours a day and each member of our dedicated, caring team benefit from their own ongoing training programme that exceeds current Care Quality Commission standards. All staff are carefully selected and we will only recruit those who demonstrate the skills and commitment necessary to meet the needs of our residents in a friendly and caring manner. Our staff turnover is very low and we consider it to be one of our strengths. The vast majority of our staff have been at The Grange for a very long time. As a result, we all have the benefit of getting to know our residents very well as individuals and they too get to know us. Our team is responsible for agreeing and implementing care plans, tailored to individual needs and designed to ensure the best possible quality of life for each and every resident at The Grange. The Registered Manager, Deputy and Senior Nursing Staff are always available to discuss personal requirements or to answer questions. We have an open door policy and visitors are welcome at any time. Fees at The Grange vary according to the level of care required after assessment. We will be happy to discuss your individual requirements and would welcome you to The Grange for an informal visit without obligation, simply contact us. Facilities
The Grange comprehensively equipped with all that is needed to promote a first-class quality of life including passenger lifts, hoists and specialist baths on every floor. The in-house laundry provides a prompt, personal service for our residents. Our beautiful secluded landscaped gardens, flower beds and benches are ideal for a stroll or just sitting and relaxing in warmer weather. We value the importance of ensuring that not just the care needs of each resident are met, but also their social, cultural, religious, spiritual and psychological needs as well. We actively encourage our residents to be fully involved, wherever possible, with their own care-planning using a fully holistic approach. We believe that individual stimulation is fundamental to quality care and we employ a dedicated Activities Coordinator to organise a full programme of activities which includes craft, exercise and musical afternoons. We encourage our residents to reminisce and share experiences and achievements with the help of photographs and memorabilia supplied by relatives and friends. Visiting Opticians, Hairdressers, Chiropodists, Physiotherapists, Dentists and the local Doctors are in regular attendance and assistance is given with full respect to individual religious requirements. Our library ensures that there is always a fresh supply of books and other reading matter available. We also maintain strong links with the local community. Visitors are always warmly welcomed and equally our residents are encouraged where possible to continue to pursue social interests outside of the Home. Residents enjoy a nutritious and varied menu using fresh local produce wherever possible. All our food is home cooked and we cater for all special dietary requirements. Meals are served in the dining room or can be taken in the privacy of the resident's own room if preferred. The Grange is a non-smoking home.
