This is a great exercise idea that came from Centre of Excellence Take five minutes today to write yourself a love letter. Recognise your strengths, your growth, and what you truly appreciate about yourself. Read it back and let those words sink inโ€”you deserve love, kindness, and encouragement, especially from yourself.

I guess before answering this journal prompt it might be interesting in defining what community means to you? Is it the local area where you live? Is it a particular group or people you feel connected to? Is it a local club or group? Community can exist wherever we want it to. For me it's about the connection and most of that , which is what I am grateful for, comes from my yoga community. Not just the teachers and other students in the classes but also the connections across the world that has opened up for me. My community helps me through the tough days but also allows me to celebrate the good ones as well. How about you, what is something you are grateful for in your community?

As a huge fan of musical theatre there is a lot of music that brings me joy, I'm not even going to try to pick one song or one musical that lifts my heart because there are so many. All I have to do is put a soundtrack on and I feel my mood lift. However, there is one song that is bringing me a lot of hope and joy right now, it's the song that is my anthem for 2025 - All I Need by . I listen to it at least twice every day because it doesn't just bring me joy but also fills me full of hope and serves as a reminder of the strength I have within me. I wonder if you have stopped to reflect on what art of music brings you joy? Is there just one or, like me, are there many? Please share in the comments below - who knows who you might inspire!

I am so very grateful for EVERYTHING in nature. The trees, the flowers, the wind, the sunshine....there isn't a day that passes when I don't show gratitude for them. It happens very naturally when I go for a walk to my local park, but I don't have to be in the park to be mindful and take in the beauty of the environment around me. With the real threat of climate change, concerns about losing the natural beauty of the environment around us feels scary to me, but appreciation and gratitude shared with others can make it more of a priority for all of us. What is something in nature or the environment you are grateful for today?

Seeing small acts of kindness always makes me smile. Knowing that in a world that sometimes feels overwhelming negative it can be difficult to notice when little things that warm our hearts take place. I haven't left my house yet this morning so I haven't had an opportunity yet to witness a little act of kindness, but I have no doubt when I have my daily walk later there will be something that fills my heart. What about you, have you had a chance to witness a small act of kindness yet today? If so, what was it and how did it make you feel?

Hmm, this is an interesting prompt for me because my relationship is one of the biggest stressors in my life. But, even taking that into account I guess I can say I am grateful to have someone to spend time with in the evenings. As an introvert I prefer to do things by myself, but sometimes that means I spend too much time in my own head, which ins't always a good thing. Having scheduled time with my partner means that I always make time in the evenings to spend some time with them. In short, I'm grateful for the company. Hoe about you, what is something you are grateful for in your relationship?

My compassion and empathy are two qualities that I am grateful for. Not only do these qualities allow me to be good at my job but they help me to be the best version of myself, a version of myself who I really like and whom I know my friends love. My playfulness is another quality that I am grateful for and one that has brought some of the best people into my life. Stopping to think about the qualities and traits that we like in ourselves or that we are thankful for isn't always easy to do, so if you take time to think about yours today, what ones really stand out to you?

I say this each and every day but its because it's true; I love my job! When I think back to my days as a retail manager and how much stress I had to deal with every day, the pressure of running a successful store and having so much accountability to other people it fills me with such anxiety; it's hardly surprising I suffered with my mental health so badly back then. Today I am grateful that I get to run my own counselling business, a business that allows me to help other people who are struggling with similar issues to the ones I've dealt with over the years and which brings me so much fulfilment and joy. I am grateful for having had the opportunity to retrain as a therapist and yoga teacher; my career is now so much more aligned with who I am as a person. I know I am lucky to have been able to move into a career that I love so much but I wonder if there is something you feel grateful for in your career or job today?

I would never have guessed I would say this, but my struggle with on and off since I was a teenager is a challenge that I am grateful for. Although difficult and at times life-threatening, it has allowed me to grow into my true Self, to develop a level of self-acceptance and self-compassion that means I can show myself the grace I show to others and it's given me the opportunity to meet some of the most wonderful people in the world who have had similar struggles. Because of my struggle with anorexia I'm able to use my own life experiences and learnings to support my clients and to offer insights that I wish I'd had in the early days of my recovery. Every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow and when that happens gratitude can happen organically. Is there a particular challenge you faced that you now feel grateful for?

I have a lot of little pleasures in life; a piece of Venchi dark chocolate, a good cup of coffee and even a restful nights sleep. But one of the things I am truly feeling grateful for today is the ability to go to the theatre so much. Tonight I'm heading to the Westend in London to see Starlight Express. Tomorrow I will see Oliver which is a musical I grew up watching on TV with my granny so I am very excited. Being in a theatre allows me to totally stop, be still and think of nothing but what is happening on the stage in front of me. It is a few hours of complete pleasure for me for this I am truly grateful. How about you, what is a simple pleasure you feel grateful for?
