Getting ready for our Zen Creative Writing Retreat in Margate.

We are studying poetry by Dylan Thomas and comparing his views with Thich Nhat Hans and the Zen perspective on Death and Dying.

Add a smattering of writing by beautiful local poet and Sunday Telegraph 2nd Best Seller Harry Baker plus meditations, discussions, silence and walks on The Beach (as viewed from our accommodation) and we are taking the treat out of retreat!

A Mindfulness in Literature Online
Workshop

3 x 1hr online workshops
Weds eves 7pm - 8pm
£55 for all three workshops

Wednesdays: 16th, 23rd and 30th October

Theme:

We will be mindfully discussing Hamlets soliloquy: 'To be or not to be ... ' with our own contemplation..

'If Hamlet was awakened - how could he have alleviated his suffering?'

There will be a brief outline of how and where the soliloquy appears in the play, however… we are NOT going to look at what HAMLET meant from his speech.. we are looking at how his suffering could possibly have been alleviated with an awakened state of being.

!! NO KNOWLEDGE OF SHAKESPEARE IS REQUIRED. . Just a mindful curiosity is all that is needed for this workshop!!
