Perimenopause is one of the three stages of menopause. It’s when menopause symptoms start but your periods haven’t stopped.

For many women, these symptoms can affect daily life – from energy and mood to relationships and work.

They can also start earlier for some, which is why recognising the signs and getting support matters.

Menopause will now be part of routine NHS health checks – offered every 5 years to eligible adults aged 40 to 74 – for the first time. By including tailored questions about menopause, more women will be able to get the support they need to manage their symptoms.

From October to March we can’t make enough vitamin D from sunlight, so to keep bones and muscles healthy, it’s best to take a daily 10 microgram supplement of vitamin D. You can get vitamin D from most pharmacies and retailers.

⭐️ Weight Loss Clinic : Price Update ⭐️

The manufacturer of Mounjaro is updating its pricing structure across Europe including England. From 1st September wholesale prices are increasing which will affect both pharmacies and patients.

This price increase is something we at Lumley Pharmacy do not have any control over and we understand that cost can be a huge barrier in weight loss.

We are currently reviewing our prices and will let you know the new costs as soon as possible. At Lumley Pharmacy we will do everything we can to keep prices accessible so you can continue to use our weight loss clinic.

As price increases are expected from 1st September if any patients with September appointments would like to book in earlier please contact the pharmacy. We only have a small number of August appointments left, so these will be given on a first come first served basis.
