The team are keen to provide an excellent, professional, personalised and personal service to all our customers with the best interests, health and wellbeing of the animals always considered. The services that we provide are:
K-Laser; We offer state of the art class IV Laser, K-Laser treatment, it can help your dog, cat, rabbit or horse with varied treatments and applications. The biological effects include but are not limited to Accelerated tissue repair and cell growth. Anti-inflammation, Anti-pain (Analgesic), improved vascular activity. Increased metabolic activity, improved nerve function, immunoregulation and can target trigger points and acupuncture points. Hydrotherapy;
We have 2 top of the range brand new hydro-physio under water treadmills with extended length chambers and incline options at our centre suitable for all breeds and sizes. Canine Hydrotherapy is used in the treatment of osteoarthritis, orthopaedic conditions, neurological conditions, muscle, ligament and other soft tissue injuries. It can also help with general convalescence, improve general fitness, cardiovascular stamina, muscle tone and is also helpful in aiding recovery from injury or surgery. Muscle wastage begins within 3 days of any immobilisation so to prevent further weakness or injury it is important to rebuild, through safe exercise, any muscles that have deteriorated. It is better to swim/walk dogs in heated water since cold water causes constriction of the blood vessels near the skin and to the superficial muscles (those just under the skin) which restricts the flow of blood making the muscles less efficient. Hydrotherapy is also considered to be a natural anti-inflammatory through its ability to reduce tissue swelling. Stance Analysis; We use our stance analysis system to assess and quantify our patients weight loading through each limb and use this to benchmark and monitor progress over time or to monitor early detection of potential lameness with referral back to your primary care veterinarian. This can help us validate our treatment plans to our clients and eliminates subjective interpretation. Theraplate; The Theraplate uses small, circular movements to stimulate muscle contraction and increase circulation. It works from the inside of your body out to yield powerful results with no negative impact to the joints. It can increase ATP within your body with unto 50% healing due to this increase along with reducing inflammation and swelling. It improves balance, joint, ligament and tendon function as well as building lean even muscle mass throughout your whole body with consistent use. Veterinary Nurses; We have a plethora of knowledge from our experienced and registered veterinary nurses who are available to answer your questions and offer support through a range of non-prescriptive activities

Physiotherapy;
Our Physiotherapist will devise an individual plan with you for rehabilitation, sports or pre-event/ post event activities.

Some fantastic advice here..

MYTH:
“A few extra kilos won’t affect my dog’s arthritis.”

FACT:
Extra weight is like petrol on the joint fire.
More weight means:
• More pressure on painful joints
• More inflammation in the body
• More discomfort when moving

Studies show that losing just 6–8% of body weight can lead to noticeable improvements in lameness.

When it comes to arthritis, even small weight loss can have a big impact.

Gorgeous Betty the Rottweiler had her first session with us today receiving K-Laser and Hydrotherapy. She has cruciate injuries on both hind legs and is on restricted exercise.

The aim is to get her more comfortable, build some muscle up and get her pain free to allow her to go for longer walks again. 🩷

05/02/2026

Gorgeous Floyd aka Mr Laid-back, had his first hydrotherapy session with us on Tuesday for his arthritis and took to it like a pro. He is coming to us to try help build those muscles up and provide him with pain relief to keep him as comfortable as we can.
He required some support to help with his hind legs as he doesn’t use them as he should due to weakness, with the guidance of support to his legs we hope he will start to use them as best he can to get him strengthened. He also puts majority of his weight through his forelimbs so doesn’t use these very well either - it’s crucial we get those hind legs built up so he distributes his weight evenly reducing extra strain on his forelimbs💪With the warmth of the water to provide him with comfort/ pain relief and the resistance of the water we hope he should regain some strength/ muscle mass soon and be feeling good in no time. 🐾

We will be monitoring his weight distribution as his sessions progress with our Stance Analysis plate.
We’ve all fallen in love with him already❤️

Good afternoon to all our wonderful followers ☺️

A little message from Sarah,

Last year is a bit of a crap year to say the least for not just for my family and me but a lot of family’s!

I’m still extremely lucky compared to a lot of people.

I have the best work environment getting cuddles and daily licks off the pupsters, I have had so much amazing support from you all-some of you have even had tears with me! And has been my little star-she has been amazing!

2026 will be a year of fun, great memories and more cuddles with your fur babies.

So on May 23rd 2026 I am taking on another adventure and taking part in a skydive for the wonderful The Charlie & Carter Foundation "CCF"
My aim is to raise £500 but if I can smash that out the water I’d be thrilled!!
If you have a spare couple of quid please do sponsor me-any amount will help these families in such a special way, it’d be great for you all to be part of my fund raising

Sarah Hignett has launched a fundraising campaign, show your support with a donation!

We have been seeing an increase in puppies coming for rehabilitation. Canine Arthritis management is a fantastic avenue for information and free courses for all.

Myth: “Puppies can’t develop joint problems - they’re too young."

Fact:
Rapid growth, over-exercise, slippery floors, and poor nutrition can all affect developing joints. Arthritic changes can begin in puppyhood even if the pain doesn’t show until adulthood.
