We’re Hiring – Support Worker (Newton Hall, Durham)

We are recruiting a compassionate and reliable individual to support a young person with complex needs in her own home.

Full training will be provided, ensuring you feel confident, supported, and competent in your role.

Shifts available:
• 15:00 – 22:00
• 22:00 – 10:00 (waking night)

This role is based in one location only: Newton Hall, Durham.

⚠️ Yellow warning issued for snow and ice ⚠️

The met office have issued a yellow warning for snow and ice 8pm tonight (8 January) until 12:00 tomorrow (9 January) for the following areas:

Darlington
Durham
Gateshead
Hartlepool
Middlesbrough
Newcastle upon Tyne
North Tyneside
Northumberland
Redcar and Cleveland
South Tyneside
Stockton-on-Tees
Sunderland

Ice is expected to form widely again as surfaces refreeze through the evening and overnight.

Scattered wintry showers will move inland across parts of northern England and eastern Scotland this evening and overnight into Friday.

Showers may lead to some further modest snow accumulations of a few cms inland and over higher ground.

🌿 Orchard Homecare Services – Fundraising Walk for St Cuthbert’s Hospice! 🌿

We’re excited to share that on Saturday 17th January, our team will be taking on the 8-mile Cuddy’s Corse walk to continue raising funds for St Cuthbert’s Hospice.

We’ll be setting off along the route, stopping at both the Chester-le-Street and Durham hospice shops, and finishing at St Cuthbert’s Hospice itself. To show our support, we’ll be wearing items bought directly from the hospice shops on the day! 💚
