It’s all hands-on deck to get the gifts out into the community in time for Christmas – our community has astounded us with their generosity and kindness once again.

Our Hiring Coordinator, Nadine, was delighted to deliver a consignment of one hundred gifts to the Countess of Chester Rapid Response unit at Customs House in Ellesmere Port yesterday. The gifts will be split between rapid response and the Ellesmere Port hospital, going to elderly people in need and also to seniors attending the hospital.

Thank you once again to everyone for your support and for making a difference this Christmas!

Our campaign has been another great success this year with so many local organisations supporting the initiative, and of course, the enormous generosity of the Chester community who have donated so many gifts for local lonely people across the local area.

Our Community Engagement Officer, Jonathan, has been non-stop rushing about the community, collecting and delivering consignments of gifts.

He had the immense pleasure to provide 45 Gifts to the wonderful folks at Here & Now in Blacon, and a further 50 gifts to the Countess Charity’s Memory Lane project yesterday.

J said “It’s really humbling to see the Chester community coming together to support our senior community, knowing that donating a gift makes such an enormous difference at Christmas. Thank you to everyone who has supported our campaign this year.”

WOW – ‘what a week’ in Chester!

Our Community Engagement Officer, Jonathan, has been completely flat-out supporting events out in the community and literally dashing all around the area collecting and delivering consignments of gift donations for our Campaign. We think he’s glad it’s Friday! 😊

J was at the Vicars Cross Community Centre Christmas Party yesterday, with our lovely seniors being entertained by the wonderful Olivia Schofield. It was a brilliant day and a big thanks to Claire Smith and the VXCC team for letting us be a part of their event again this year. We look forward to continuing to work together with you all in 2026!
