Do I follow my own aftercare advice?
I try to, most of the time, and honestly, that’s all any of us can do when we have so many competing priorities.
🤍 Stretching: a mix of little stretches at home and weekly Pilates or yoga. I usually stretch while watching TV in the evenings and really think it helps me to sleep better.
🤍 Regular Treatments: I didn’t used to, but after the summer I now book something at least monthly (more often when I’m working on something specific). Lately it’s been massage, reflexology and reiki. It doesn’t have to be massage, it's chosing what your body needs at that moment.
🤍 Rest: Being self-employed means the brain doesn’t always clock out… but I’m learning to slow down before I need to.
🤍 Stress management: Walks with Wilf, grounding oils, fresh air, and meditation help keep my nervous system steady.
I don’t get it all right, all the time — and I don’t expect you to either.
Small steps, gentle consistency, and listening to your body really is all that’s needed.
If you’re working on any of these too, you’re doing brilliantly 😊
