☕ Pop in for a Coffee, a Chat, or Join One of Our Community Events! ☕

Did you know that our home has an open door policy? We love welcoming members of our local community, so whether you’re a neighbour, family member, professional, or simply curious to see what we do, you’re always welcome to pop in.

Even if it’s just for a coffee, cake, and a friendly chat in our coffee shop, we’d love to see you. 💛

We also have two lovely events coming up next week that everyone is welcome to attend:

👮 Police Community Surgery
📅 23rd March | 9:00–10:00am
Come along for breakfast and an informal chat with local PCs Chris McCue and Sarai Kilshaw. A great opportunity to talk about any local concerns, get advice, or simply say hello.

🧠 Dementia Café
📅 24th March | 1:30–3:30pm
A relaxed and supportive afternoon for anyone affected by dementia, including family members, carers, and friends. Join us for conversation, support, and guidance in a warm and welcoming environment.

If you would like to attend either event, please let us know so we can make sure we have enough refreshments for everyone.

✨ Our GEM of the Month – Karolina Nagy! ✨

A big congratulations to our wonderful Head of Housekeeping, Karolina Nagy, who is our GEM (Going the Extra Mile) of the Month!

Karolina leads our housekeeping team with incredible dedication, making sure every area of our home is clean, beautiful and smelling wonderfully fresh — no small task in a busy care home!

She truly lives our GEM values by always going above and beyond to help residents feel comfortable, respected and valued. Her hard work and positivity make such a difference to everyone in our home.

Our very first book club at Deewater Grange care home was a lovely success✨️📚📚✨️
Residents and families enjoyed great conversation, shared by the story and of course a glass of wine and tasty nibbles.

Today we are incredibly proud to celebrate a very special milestone – 5 wonderful years with two truly outstanding members of our team at Deewater Grange, part of Care UK 💜

Sophie and Sue have dedicated the past five years to providing exceptional care, compassion, and support to our residents and their families. As our brilliant Dementia Care Champion, Sophie’s knowledge, passion, and creativity continue to inspire both residents and colleagues every single day. Sue, our super talented Team Leader, leads with kindness, professionalism, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in care.

Both are highly skilled dementia care specialists whose warmth, patience, and understanding make a real difference in the lives of those we support. They are invaluable members of our care family — and we are so lucky to have them.

All the staff here at Deewater Grange think the absolute world of them, and it’s clear to see that our residents adore them just as much. Their dedication, positivity, and genuine love for what they do truly shine through in everything they do.

Thank you, Sophie and Sue, for five amazing years of care, compassion, and commitment. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! 🌟
