🙏 Why slowing down heals the nervous system 🙏
Here’s something that science and spirituality agree on:
❌ Your body cannot heal in a constant state of stress ❌
If you have noticed some or any of the following signs:
❌ Severe fatigue and low energy levels
❌Frequent infection or illness
❌Hair thinning
❌Acne
❌Unexpained weight gain
❌ Depression or mood swings
❌Memory and concentration problems (brain fog)
❌Increased irritability and emotional instability
❌Insomnia or disturbed sleep patterns
Then my lovely, you may have high levels of cortisol (you body's stress hormone) in your system.
This is your body's way of telling you that it is not getting what it needs, and can put you in a state of 'fght or flight' (your survival instince aka. survival mode)
Now a little bit of stress is normal, we are all human at the end of the day...
But our bodies are not designed to LIVE like this constantly 😱
It is something I see so commonly, especially in this day and age with all of these 'should's' and expectations society seems to put on ous, or that we put on ourselves 🤨
But, when you actually allow yourself to slow down:
💛Your cortisol levels reduce
💛 Your nervous system shifts into safety
💛Digestion, sleep, and clarity improve
💛 Intuition becomes easier to hear
🙏 This is why rest isn’t indulgent—it’s ESSENTIAL 🙏
