Hi I’m Grev (Grevin Jones) the other half of Cooke and Jones physio. Just a bit about myself. I have been working in Physiotherapy for a few years now!

Qualified with a BSc in Physiotherapy in 1996. Worked in all fields of physiotherapy and was a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapists for the first 12 years of my career.

From 2009 - present. I have worked as a clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in pain management working alongside a team specialising in complex musculoskeletal pain. Advancing my role to include the ability to review and prescribe medications and soft tissue injections. Obtained an MSc in Pain Management from Cardiff University in 2014.

2022 - present. Work as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in the Robert Jones Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic hospital working in a multi disciplinary group including Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons and Sports and Exercise Consultants.

I have also a passion for research and also sit on the board of the Welsh Pain Socity as their Innovation lead.

Special Interests include Pain management, Spinal pain, Orthopaedic and sports injuries and post operative rehabilitation. Although I enjoy all areas!

There has been many variations of this over the years with “RICE”, “PRICE” and “POLICE” that you may have heard before.
Here is the latest acronym “PEACE & LOVE” which includes the full range of soft tissue management from immediate care to subsequent management.

Evening. I thought I’d share this interesting informative page regarding nerve related leg pain. You may know it as sciatica. As clinicians we do several assessment techniques to determine whether your pain is coming from your back or buttock.
If you have been suffering with sciatica it may be worth making an appointment with your physiotherapist so that they can offer advice and guidance on the right exercise to help with the symptoms.

Hi guys, I’m Christian one half of Cooke & Jones physio. I wanted to introduce myself to you all and give you a run down of my experience and specialisms:
Professional footballer 2002-2005
Semi professional footballer 2005-2012
Sports massage therapist & personal training 2005-2016
Lived overseas in Dubai working in a physio clinic & on sporting event including the Dubai rugby sevens & Dubai marathon 2010-2012
Physiotherapy assistant alongside studying to qualify as a physio 2012-2016
NHS Rotational physiotherapist 2016-2017
NHS MSK specialist 2017-2018
NHS Pain management specialist 2018-current.
Special interests are MSK, sports & performance, chronic pain research development, orthopaedic management & back pain rehabilitation. I’m also a qualified independent prescriber having completed the Independent and Supplementary prescribing MSc module.
