We offer a four day induction training programme, allowing those who apply with us to develop their knowledge and skills.

In training, you can expect to learn about manual handling including hoist, bed and wheelchair training, dementia care, physical and learning difficulty care, and much more. This knowledge empowers our staff to have a successful carer in the care industry.

Valentine's day – Mr & Mrs Cavey ❤️

We are proud to support Joyce, who receives care from our HCC team. Her daughter, Karen, also has a special connection with us, having worked for Homecarers in the past.

Joyce and Ken’s love story began in 1965, when Ken was serving with the Gloucestershire Regiment, stationed at Saighton Camp in Chester. During this time, he met Joyce while she was working as a shop assistant at Woolworths in the city. 💕

After their very first date, Ken was posted to Berlin for two years, when he returned to the UK, he proposed to Joyce, and the couple married in 1968 before returning to Berlin together.
Ken left the army in 1970 when Joyce found out she was expecting their first child. Their family grew again in 1974, and the couple eventually settled in Chester, where they built a loving home and life together.
This June, they will be celebrating an incredible 58 years of marriage — a beautiful milestone that reflects a lifetime of love, resilience, and partnership. ❤️🥂

Karen also wanted to share her heartfelt thanks:
“Thank you to all the staff for the continued support looking after my mum — I’d be lost without Homecarers.”

We feel honoured to be part of their journey.
